Too Many Trials is a datapack that expands on the Trial Chamber's content by adding new structures and enchantments.
Trial Recall is an echantment that lets you teleport a mob back to its trial spawner. Simply hit the spawner with an enchanted tool, and for a small price of 10 durability, the latest spawned mob will be teleported back to its trial spawner. No more trying to find that last spider that is somehow on the ceiling of a different room.
Can be found in Vaults in any Trial Structure.
Wind Shot is an enchantment for ranged weapons that creates a wind burst at the block or entity that the projectile hits. Use this to launch entities into the air or off cliffs. No need to stockpile wind charges once you have this.
Can only be found in Vaults in any Trial Structure.
Ominous Assistance is an enchantment for armor that will randomly assist you when you are being targeted or attacked. It will use ominous item spawners entities (the high-pitched blue things from ominous trial spawners) to spawn harmful things at attackers or mobs targeting you, like harming potions, arrows, slowness, etc. and spawn helpful things for you if you don't have full health, like regeneration and strength. Each piece of enchanted armor has its own small chance to assist, so put the enchantment on all 4 pieces to get the most assistance.
Can only be found in Ominous Vaults in any Trial Structure.
Vault Searcher is the main path of progression for this datapack. Vault Searcher is a chestplate enchantment. Each level allows you to get more treasure and better enchanted books from vaults (but no additional special structure items like trims or music discs). The max level, level 5, gives you a ton of good loot from each vault, but getting to level 5 is not easy.
If you don't have Vault Searcher equipped, you can only get a Vault Searcher 1 Book, from ominous vaults in any Trial Structure, with a lower chance that every other enchantment in the datapack.
Once you have Vault Searcher equipped, things change. Both types of vaults in any Trial Structure can now give you the same level book as the level you have equipped, with the same chance as every other enchantment in the datapack.
Regular vaults cannot give you a Vault Searcher book that's higher than level 3, so once you get to Vault Searcher 4, you should look in ominous vaults for the next book.
The way an anvil works means that if you have a Vault Searcher chestplate and a Vault Searcher enchanted book that are the same level you can combine them together and get the next level:
Vaults can now give new items and different items depending on conditions. Due to how this is done, if your installing this in an existing world, any trial chambers generated before it was installed will only ever drop vanilla loot. Vaults from the creative inventory will also only ever drop vanilla loot.
The Vault reward loot tables themselves have not been changed, allowing for better mod compatibility.
Due to how important vaults are for this datapack, Something like Revault is recommended.
Structures
Encounter
An Encounter is a single trial spawner structure found in caves. It's designed to be a replayable version of the simple monster spawner dungeon. Walk up to it and kill the mobs it spawns, and you will be rewarded the loot from 1-2 dungeon chests. Since it's a trial spawner, it will reset in 30 minutes after you complete it, allowing you to come back later and complete it again.
If you have Bad Omen or Trial Omen, it does have an ominous mode. You'll fight harder mobs, but get a much better reward.

Trial Structures
Any structures that have trial spawners and vaults in them are called "Trial Structures". The Trial Chambers are one, and currently the only other one in the project is the Trial Tower. More are coming soon.
Trial Chambers now generate little markers above them so you can find many of them without having to do a ton of villager trading or using the debug pie. Directly below one of these is a Trial Chamber.

Trial Tower
The Trial Tower is a tall trial structure consisting of a lower indoor section and an upper outdoor bridge section. Trial Towers have more spawners and vaults than a Trial Chamber, making them more dangerous but more rewarding.
