π» Transform Into Ghost
Transform Into Ghost is a small data pack that lets you leave your body behind and move around as a ghost.
It was made to be compatible with the latest versions of:

This data pack was originally created for my Hide and Seek map:

The idea is to let hiders watch the game while they are hidden.
Instead of being stuck inside their disguise or unable to see what is happening, they can leave their body, move around as a ghost, and still keep their hiding spot in the world.
πͺ How to get the stick
Use this command:
/function transformintoghost:get_stick
Then right click with the stick to enter ghost mode.
Your body will stay in the world as a mannequin, and you will be moved into spectator mode.
To return to your body, just move back to it.
βοΈ Options
You can choose if the item in your hands should be copied to the mannequin.
Copy held items:
/scoreboard players set copy_held_item tig_options 1
Do not copy held items:
/scoreboard players set copy_held_item tig_options 0
π§ What the pack does
When you enter ghost mode, the data pack creates a mannequin at your position and copies your player data to it.
The mannequin can keep:
your appearance
your armor
your health
your food
your potion effects
your player scale
optionally, your held items
While you are a ghost, your body stays in the world.
Health, food and effects are synced with the mannequin, then copied back to you when you return.
π§© Compatibility with Transform Into Mobs and Blocks
If you are using Transform Into Mobs or Transform Into Blocks, the pack tries to keep everything working together.
If you are transformed into a mob, the mob disguise follows your mannequin body.
If you are transformed into a block, the block display also follows your mannequin body and keeps its normal alignment behavior.
The ghost stick can still work through the interaction entities used by those packs.
If you lose your mob or block disguise, ghost mode is cancelled properly and you return to your body.
π§ A bit more technical
Behind the scenes, the pack saves your original gamemode, summons a mannequin at your position, copies your important player data to it, then puts you in spectator mode.
The mannequin acts as your real body while you are a ghost.
The pack also checks for Transform Into Mobs and Transform Into Blocks scoreboards and entities, but those packs can still exist independently.
Transform Into Ghost is meant to work with them without forcing them to depend on it.
