This data pack is a segment of functions from my main project Runechant, it adds 12 craftable weapon poisons to the game.
Poisons can be crafted using a multi-block structure;
Lightning Rod
Lodestone
Campfire
Or
End Rod
Lodestone
Soul Campfire
(Everything is placed vertical, with the rods on top)
Then simply throw a candle, root and thick potion onto the rod, after a few seconds they will combine into a new item a Wax Coating. All combination can be see int he attached images.
Wax Coatings can then be equipped in the offhand allowing the player to now inflict a status effect onto enemies they hit. Each status effect is unique and made through commands meaning they are not the normal potion effects. A particle effect will also show around the equipped players mainhand indicating that the effect can be inflicted.
Status effects are not inflicted with every hit and will always infect the closest entity to the player. Most status effects last for a random period or will clear after certain conditions are met.
Wax Coating will eventually deteriorate and break, any Wax Coatings of the same type that is equipped will be removed from the players inventory first for ease of use. There are two version of each Wax Coating depending on the multi-block structure used. The End Rod structure produces more refined poisons and as such will have a + and last roughly 3x as long as normal Wax Coatings.
As this came from my main project their may be some unnecessary commands in the pack but they should be of low impact to TPS.
