Most of the Planetminecraft community is quite nice and accepting, you shouldn't find too many mean people here - although as with all communites there will be some, if anyone starts causing problems then the staff (including me) will help sort it out.

It seems as though I'm a bit late to the party here, but whatever.

While I myself am not a furry, I do not mind their existence because as far as I'm concerned, they're just people doing something they like which also happens to help them feel like their true selves. If you start to look into things like this, you'll find that there are a lot of interesting types of people in the world, and I believe that we should accept all of them as the people they are.

I don't believe that there is any place for hatred and discrimination in this world, and that includes the hatred and discrimination that furries may be subjected to.

If you're worried about seeing any of that hatred here, then I'm going to tell you that you have nothing to worry about. Most of us, including myself, are very nice and accepting individuals, and if there are some people around here that really don't like furries for whatever strange reason, then they probably won't act on that because they know that the moderators will quickly handle the situation.


And now, the short version: Furries are people too, the world is full of interesting and unique people, we should accept everyone because we're all people no matter what others might think, hate should not exist, people in this community are really great and the moderators will handle any problems that people might cause.

...Also, I think it might be a bit hard to hide it now anyway, since you've stated that you are a furry in the first three words of this thread. But I also think that you shouldn't need to hide it, because that's just who you are, and it's usually good to show your true self.

The RP aspect of the furry community can get a biiit too much, but I have yet to meet a furry that I didn't like. From my perspective, as an outsider, I don't mind them, but gotta admit I'd prefer to avoid the full body-suit furries. It's amazing that they have made those, and even more amazing that they really feel like themselves in those suits. They just kinda freak me out :')

To call someone 'a furry' is dumb. Just because someone likes something doesn't mean we have to categorize them. That would be like calling someone who likes coffee a 'coffie'. If I liked coffee would you all stamp me with 'coffie'? People who like a certain type of cartoon character shouldn't be labeled like you'd label a race or gender. I do think it is dumb to bully people because of their hobbies.

I don't mind furries no you shouldn't hide who you are it's bad for you keeping something in like that I support you being a furry AnAxolotlSkinMaker never do that embrace who you are and don't let people say bad things about you make you keep it in.

I am a furry myself. To me, almost all of us are normal human beings, who can be nice to animals, outside of being part of this fandom. There's nothing inherently wrong with what we do, we're just making animal characters, dressing up as them etc. but we don't forsake our humanity in favor of them.

... And then there are those bad apples from whom all the stereotypes stem from and cause the entire community to get the same hatred and mockery as them. I don't wanna talk about them here but we all know what they do. But they are a minority compared to the wholesome majority to which both you and me belong to.

I'm not a furry myself but as long as any furry doesn't go full zoophile, I think furries are acceptable, if a little bizarre. Of course, we all have parts of ourselves that are bizarre so me calling furries bizarre isn't an insult.

If you wanna dress up like an anthropomorphized animal, feel free, it's not like you're actually hurting anyone.

Though I must admit I have several criticisms towards the art side of the furry community and where we should draw the line between what is and isn't acceptable.

Being a furry myself, I have no issue with the base concept of a furry, as with any hobby or interest that does not harm or promote the harming of others.



You shouldn't ever have to feel like you should have hide the harmless things that bring you joy. Anyone who would bully or make fun of you for it isn't someone that's worth your time. It's ridiculous that anyone would harass someone over liking cartoon animals when there are so many actual problems in the world actually worth being upset about.
