I would keep the spacing and bottomtext from logo1 and use the "p0rtal" from the second one. It just looks so much better.

The spacing is better in the first one, but I like the second one for the font/colors
I like the first one, it just fits well with a minecraft map logo! (I believe this is a map, anyway!)

I have to agree really: The first one actually fits more into a minecraft map which makes it look better (yes this logo was made for a map)
However, the second one does use the logo for the game that inspired the map (Portal) which just shows how related the map is to the game, so overall i pretty much agree with your points.
