which minecraft version is better java or bedrock. my personel favourite is java because it is easier to control. bedrock has tons more features like baby squiads and cauldron fillable glass bottles and much more. but java has limitless servers and limitless mods and more. so it isn't really clear which one is better. but at the end lets come together and be happy that we are atleast not on education edition ;)

both
As someone who played both versions (bedrock first and then java) my experience between Java was mighty gold meanwhile bedrock was boring as f***, I couldn't download mods before and I felt disconnected, don't forget bedrock delays update features (such as the crawling physics) and then Java, I felt like I was in heaven, able to connect with more people and was able to enter my dream server hypixel. (I actually don't like hypixel so much anymore lmfao) Personally Java is the go, I still play bedrock here and there but I swear, I am fully Java.
Also my younger brother has a school iPad and he only has minecraft education edition :(
I’ve only ever played bedrock on PS4 and never experienced Java. I have high expectations from it but I’m happy with bedrock.
also I am a poor, poor Totodile, living in the dark, dark forest, saving up for a gaming Pc that seems decades away from reach… :(

Java mostly, but upcoming i will buy bedrock in android
Java cos i get to play the best texture pack known to man kind! Minecraft 4Kids
I like them both
Definitely Java, it has a lot more freedom and less bugs, while on Bedrock it's a lot more buggy and inconsistent (Yes, I fix a lot of outdated textures), the graphics are an absolute garbage, and some features might trigger you if you're very used to Java, the only fun things about Bedrock are The Hive server, in which I wanna play again to bring more use to Bedrock but since sadly my Xbox Live Gold subscription expired, I can't play it anymore and it has been left abandoned, I only play mc dungeons on my Xbox tho, and another good thing about Bedrock is that some inconsistencies are fixed earlier, like the boat oars not matching the wood type of the boat, dragon fireball being updated earlier in Bedrock 1.10 than Java 1.14, etc.
Javrock
well, im getting bedrock for pc soon and it is kid've the worst of the four.
man, i wish i got minecraft earth when it existed.
man, i wish i got minecraft earth when it existed.
I already learned enough to work with resource packs in Java (and to be honest, still have a lot to learn) and I have no time to learn the intricacies of bedrock, so there's my reason why I chose Java edition.
yeah i know i can reply to replies but come on where is the fun in that the fun is in the messy part
Java, because bedrock has some limits etc. And many bugs.
java is better you can mod it and it is easier to play except bribgeing
I'm getting a lot of mixed answers but Java is in the lead so far
Java is clearly better for mapmaking and mods, but Bedrock is great for Survival (trident drowneds spawn much more than in Java). It´s multiplayer is also good, but take into account that Mojang is working for joining both Java and Bedrock into the same one, so we won´t need to question us this anymore!
i like the fact that you start sentences with "bro" which is what i used to do in 3rd grade
but i think they are equal, they have their own pros and cons,
but i think they are equal, they have their own pros and cons,
i show no hate towards bedrock but you say easier multiplayer? java needs two clicks and a copy paste bedrock on the other hand though and in playstation servers are not even available
Yup, easier multiplayer. On Bedrock Edition, when editing a world's settings, just toggle on "Multiplayer game," choose the invite settings, and once in the world, friends can join at any time from their "friends" list or by invite. I dunno about you, but I think that's a little more convenient than any of the options Java has - you don't even need to exit the hecking game to make it work! (You can also set up your own server on a Windows device, although that feature is still in Alpha, but from what I can tell it too is a bit easier than its Java counterpart.)
bro this is so true
imagine comparing Java with Bedrock in 2022
Definitely Java!
Despite its bugginess, lack of gameplay feature completion, and lack of moddability, I think Bedrock Edition has attained its status as the superior version through its appeal to the average consumer - it's more accessible, user-friendlier, less technically demanding, easier to modify on supported platforms, and perhaps most importantly, it's infinitely easier to play with friends on a whim. I personally prefer Java Edition, but that's my preference because it suits me specifically; there is an enormous audience for a cross-platform lightweight edition of the game, and catering to that audience is Mojang's best play.
Bro from the start i also think Java is better we were arguing on the same side
You do know you can reply to replies

Why are you saying "bedrock has tons more features"? Java literally has an infinite amount of features with datapacks and mods. You can't have more than infinite features.
yeah baby i mean no hate towards bedrock but lets goooooo java is winning
JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I mean, Java.
Bro even if they are possible with commands most of them help you which is technically not vanilla and also bro I am just talking about normal minecraft no datapscks or mods or plugins or anything
Okay, but I still think Minecraft Java is better.
bro even if some people call data packs vanilla they are wrong they r not vanilla
Datapacks basically use vanilla features and they only add custom items using simply vanilla features, while mods add custom items, mobs, etc. by programming and are not considered vanilla, since they require either forge or fabric in order to work.
datapacks are very vanilla
Well, unlike mods datapacks can only do stuff, that would be possible in vanilla minecraft without any datapacks (with just commands/commandblocks, which are definitely vanilla).
