Way to many people play it I know it's a good and fun game put too many people play it and i only play it when i'm really bored.

I havn't played MC in months and I have a PMC account and am on the site regularly.
Minecraft was not overrated until after 1.4.7

Overrated means that its not that great, only the hype around it is really big. Minecraft is popular, as it is a good game. Just because a lot of people like something, doesn't mean that its overrated, it'll usually mean that its a good game.
