I need opinions. Me and my friend are locked in a debate, and I need backup for my side. I’m not going to say which side it is, but I will use this as evidence if my side gets the most votes. So, vote for your favorite version here!

Bedrock is generally for kids or casual gamers, where as classic Java is more for real minecrafters and advanced players. Just the way I see it, Java is more capable and is the OG MC.
Well, now Bedrock people have a new feature soon to brag to Java about. Vibrant Visuals.
new 3ds edition
Of all versions…
Both have their benefits, I've played both for about the same amount of time, and I haven't seen any as "better". I would say Java is better for redstone, modding, etc., Bedrock for a general experience and first impressions of the game. I can't really decide, sorry if this was useless. It is subjective after all. Legacy Console I haven't played yet.
Even tho bedrock got some good features and is not as bad as a lot of ppl think, in my opinion java is much better
I love Java Edition of Minecraft, it is one of my favorite version of Minecraft of all time!
The reasons why are because Minecraft Java servers are cooler to me and being able to mod Minecraft on Java Edition is the best part too!
I first started playing the Java Edition back during 1.6.4 update, best birthday present ever!

Both have thier ups and downs, but overall bedrock is more enjoyable
One of the main bedrock issues is the lag. I know it’s supposed to be less laggy, but the device’s limits make it more laggy.
This is a MCJ community(mostly) so it is going to get overly voted
Bedrock for redstone airplanes.
Java for PVP(Seriously, 1.8 PvP is pretty bad because instead of timing you need to maintain insane click speed and also move too much.)
Bedrock for, well, official events
Java for everything else.
Performance in java is far higher.
Legacy console had some fun stuff but it is discontinued sadly

True, true
While everyone says Java runs better, Bedrock runs better for me on my potato.
Bedrock is supposedly better due to C++ not suffering from the lag spikes that plague Java, but everyone just uses Optifine and Sodium anyways
Bedrock NO NO
Java Yes Yes
Java Yes Yes
For me it is bedrock edition when I din´t have pc, I had mobile where I cracked minecrraft pe later be. and in summer 2024 I built a minecraft map called Swords and kills
where I used Camera command that means that my map has ˝cutscenes˝.
if you want play I would be happy

Downloaded! Looks like fun!
Do you have the world file available? I play both modern versions, so I’ll take either format.
I think I don't understand
Never mind, I downloaded it
I’m amazed that only 1 person voted Legacy.

i would say i actually prefer pvp on java (both in 1.8 and 1.21).
as for socializing it's debatable, depending on what you mean by that

If you ask me, bedrock PvP is kinda tough. Well, maybe that’s because I have big fingers and a small phone, bough.
I play on PC, it's quite easy with keyboard and mouse.
Yes it is, but I’ve never actually launched it on my PC.
Oh
sorry
well it is quite difficult on mobile, especially a small device

Something to be said for using the interface for which a program was designed…
Java for me, It runs better for the most part and it's nice to know that its not as "locked down" for modifying the game as bedrock. Side note: have no experience with legacy console edition so can't judge there.
Yeah, I definitely agree with the modding reasoning. A bedrock version of Tinkers’ just doesn’t feel right…

I don’t own Legacy Console, but I remember doing split screen on the Switch version with my friend when it still existed. Ahh, the good old days before Microsoft went and combined them all…
I'll be voting Bedrock, and I'm okay with that.
March to the beat of a different drummer…
Bedrock good for memeing.
Legacy good for spooks.
Java good for everything else.

What makes br particularly good for memeing?
Minecraft Slice Edition
Random elytra death
Chunk becomes invisible.
Name convenient to say "bugrock" bugva does not sound as good.

The last is the only one I recall 'seeing' (but I don't have a great deal of contact with the br community).
Good question

Incipent journalism/pollster/politician: "I will use this as evidence if my side gets the most votes"
Java forever!
Now, just to clarify, I’m not casting a vote. I want your opinions, not mine.
