    Palette Roulette is a game of color palettes. We use the colors from existing skins, to make new ones!

    Give a palette 🎨
    • Send a PM to DinowCookie and link up to three existing skins on your profile that can be used as a source.
    • Source skins should have at least about 12, up to about 40 different colors.
    • When your skin/palette is used, you will receive a PM that notifies you! ✨
    Get a palette and participate!
    • Ask for a palette in the guest book.
    • You will get a PM with two palettes to choose from.
    • Reply to confirm your pick, and use it to make a Jam submission!
    • Your submission will get a comment that reveals which source skin the palette came from. ✨

    No need to do both
    Ideally you share and use a palette when you join. But if you want to only do one part, you're welcome to!

  • FAQs

    How strict is the color count for source skin palettes?
    It's only an indication! Palettes of 12 - 40 colors should be excellent to work with.
    No harm done if a source exceeds the parameters somewhat. This Jam is all about having fun with them. 😁
    Must I use all of the colors in my palette?
    Nope! You can use as many or as little of the colors from the palette as you like.
    Just make sure to not add any new colors. :)
    Do you mean colors, or shades?
    I count each swatch in the palette as a color. So 5 shades of red = 5 colors in the palette.
    Can I submit a different palette than from a player skin?
    Nope! For this Jam we use only player skins as the source for palettes. This is because part of the fun is in the reveal of seeing the source and entry skins side-by-side.
    Why do the palettes have a codename?
    The codenames are only for the Jam host to keep track of all the palettes. No need to mind it!
    If a palette is used, can it be given out again?
    Currently, every palette can only be picked once. We're trying to make unique combinations of source + entry.
    However we may have to re-run a few palettes if we end up with the problem of having too few palettes to cater to all participants.
    Can I make an existing character with my palette?
    Yes! The concept of your skin can be anything. Feel free to invent your own character/thing, or make someone/something from your favorite popular media.
