A jam for those who like to experiment with and create redstone circuitry and contraptions! (Season 3)
  • About

    Welcome to the Redstone Jam!

    Season III

Here you can show off your redstone skills and build cool contraptions to compete and win a prize to prove your redstone genius! Have fun and don't forget to check the ranking criteria to get an idea of how you can win.

    Good examples for builds are:
    • Redstone circuits such as computers or calculators
    • Contraptions such as piston doors or automatic farms
    • Machines such as slime block flying machines or auto-builds
    • ...or anything cool redstone things you can think of!

Important: the only requirements for an entry are so:
    • That it contains something redstone somewhere in the build it qualifies. Items in item frames don't count, though they can be used in them. Also, redstone components (buttons, levers, dust, lamps, etc.) that aren't used for redstone purposes, such as it creating a redstone signal that is used or being lit up by redstone, do not count towards this requirement. This includes if it is just for decoration, or made to resemble something else (e.g. a stone button as a rivet, a wood button as a wood pin in a structure, or a tripwire hook as a sink faucet)
    • It is in java (or at least java compatible)
    • And it contains pictures/videos, description text, and/or a good title clearly showing it's a redstone build or at least containing valid redstone mechanics.

If it doesn't follow these three things, I'll have to disqualify it.

    Good luck! 👍

    Rating Criteria

    1. Proper functioning
How well the build works—is it working? (1 for broken, 2 for working but still has problems, 3 for fully working)
      Rated 1 to 3
    2. Clear purpose
How easy it is to see its purpose and function without needing explanation
      Rated 1 to 5
    3. Complexity
How intricate the circuit/contraption is—how many bells and whistles it has. This is given one star per clear special feature/function.
      Rated 1 to 10
    4. Neatness
How appealing it looks. An good example is a piston door that is fully flush and cannot see any redstone versus redstone being wide-open.
      Rated 1 to 5
    5. Interactability
How easy the build is to control/interact with—use of it and knowing how to.
      Rated 1 to 5
