Caring about attention is fine: If you repeatedly mention the numbers your submissions, wall posts etc. pull, you care about the attention you're getting. It gets annoying as soon as you claim you do not care about it, while still clearly iteratively mentioning and talking about the numbers you pull. If you care about attention, just admit and accept that you do; there's literally nothing wrong with doing so. Trying to convince others you do not care, while you talk about said attention repeatedly is what's annoying, not that you want the attention in the first place. This is not to encourage attention-seeking which will also get annoying, but moreso that it's fine to subtly or remotely care about how well your stuff does, and that admitting to such is definitely better than constantly saying you don't care while you clearly do.

I am half way done with the iron golem mob skin, but I'll take a break from it. Instead I'll draw a cute creeper in a mine, because I mostly draw creepy things, and I thought I would draw something different.

Today I went to some event, in which I got first place in one of them irl. Which I'm proud of, but I'll have to go back to skin making. I'll start working on the next skin!

We need more pro mob skin makers in here. It's getting boring looking at all those meme mob skins on the trending page. Though I'll admit they're funny.

I've been confused over what I should make for the past couple of days, but I think I got it. I'll make an iron golem mob skin tommorw, or after. The reason it can take so long is that I'm a bit busy lately, but I'll finish it none the less.

The best initial tip for shading, colouring and skin making in general is just to try it out. If you give a child a pencil, you're not going to expect a masterpiece on the first attempt, but they will certainly put down lines, shapes, dots and try to create something. It is in that retained effort that you progress and learn. It is not meant to just be easy; it is not to say some won't learn it faster than others, but you need to be willing to just give it a shot to progress. You can learn all the theory in the world, but if you can't apply it at all, how much does it really help you? Sometimes you just gotta try some scenarios and techniques, then worry about the quality later, rather than before you've started. You didn't walk properly on your first try either, you gotta give it time - eventually you will be able to do it if you put in the effort.
