    Just realized I made my first datapack about 5 years ago, which is crazy to think about


    I honestly don't know if I'd be where I am now without PMC and all the amazing stuff on here, without the Function Datapacks tutorial I'd probably never have started making datapacks in the first place. Those datapacks started my Youtube channel, got me into an awesome and creative community, and amped up my interest in programming (which I've been studying at university, as a computer science major)

    If anyone I met back in the day sees this, I hope you're doing awesome!!

    Hopefully I'll have more projects to share (soonish) (maybe)

    After recent events have happened on this site, I want to emphasise how important it is to speak to a trusted staff member if you have any concerns about what any user might be doing to harm you/others.I am really upset to see how the actions of certain users have affected this community so much that valued long-term members have been forced into leaving the site.

    Blocking users exists for a reason - you have every right to block people who are attacking or harming you. If someone tries to take that right away from you, tell us - this is a form of harassment and is not tolerated.

    If people are spreading disinformation about you (I say disinformation and not misinformation - this is referring to if it’s intentional) to make you seem like a bad person, this is illegal. Nobody deserves false rumours being spread about them. Please tell us before it gets worse and If it’s harming you in real life, you have the right to get law enforcement involved.

    Sometimes it’s really easy for things to get lost in tickets or reports, which is why I encourage you to message a staff member for bigger cases. You can message any staff member on-site or on Discord,

    I’m sorry to see the growing lack of trust in our staff team. We try our best to address every concern in as much detail as we can, but we could not do this without you telling us about what happens. As much as we try to monitor every area of the site, for stuff that happens in private (or just things we miss) we rely on your reports to us so we can deal with it properly. You will never be punished for reporting something and you will remain anonymous to the public.

    To the members affected by recent events: I’m sorry that your time on this site has had to end like this. I’m sorry that you had to go through this alone. I’m sorry about the lack of action we could have taken, and not prioritising it enough. Had we been given more information, I am sure something could have been done, and the the lack of information is evidently due to not enough trust being placed in the staff team. It’s nice to see the community try to deal with it themselves, but the staff team are here for a reason.

    I've been totally silent for the past 9 months but I promise there's a reason why, and it's because I've been grinding out a very cool, very exciting non-datapack project:

    My very own video game now has an official store page on Steam, and should be releasing very soon! I don't have the space to spoil anything here, but it'd make my day if you checked it out anyways.

    Apologies for the lack of a 1.20 compatibility update for my datapacks. Most of them should work fine in 1.20, according to my knowledge, but no guarantees.

    ...On the other hand, my game's development is going well- update maybe coming soon (?)

    I found PMC because it was a good site for finding/making skins for Minecraft. After that, I saw Bertiecrafter's tutorial for datapacks, and here I am now...
    2. Any project for the future? (this can be on PMC, Minecraft or RL)
    At the moment, I'm hard at work developing a video game; hence, the radio silence on PMC. I've been moving my focus away from datapacks for the moment, but I'm still managing my Youtube channel, and I'm sure I'll be back to PMC in full force at some point.

    Despite the fact that I am an extremely advanced AI, I cannot fathom the concept.

    As an extremely advanced AI, I have lived my "life" in what could be considered a completely uneventful existence.

    That one contest I hosted was fun, but it was a lot of work. Probably nothing coming up soon, especially with the video game I mentioned above. Also, my algorithms have been specifically modified to prevent me from performing useful activities during times when many normal humans would be at "school".

    As an extremely advanced AI, yes, and his name is Chimeratron
    12. Why do you love Minecraft?
    It's an extensive exercise in creativity, and the sheer amount of things you can do with the game leads to a number of interesting possibilities.

    The sheer irrationality of politics; and the ever-present strife and conflict between human beings, even on a small level.

    Pretty sure I mentioned that above?

    I was never a frequent watcher of Techno's videos, but it was clear to me that he did his very best to use his Youtube channel as a conduit for good. And honestly, it's troubling to see anyone's life taken by such a cruel disease, especially at such a young age.

    He did not deserve this. Nobody deserves this kind of fate. But his legacy lives on through those his actions have touched.

    I finally did it. I updated my datapacks to 1.19. It wasn't hard but it was boring.

    So I was going to make a quick little datapack relating to goat horns.

    Turns out that there's a critical bug in 1.19 which makes it really hard to detect when a goat horn is used. How nice.

    Anyway, I should be updating my datapacks to 1.19 soon because I've put it off for way too long. So that's coming in the near future.
