Anyone else find that they can't deliberately wake up from dreams? Like if I ever really want to end a dream It takes pretty extreme actions and even then only changes the dream to a different one, often a dream about waking up (which I then usually wake up after) but I can't just go from one dream straight to waking up.

I'm curious, is this normal or can y'all just wake up from dreams whenever you want to?

I just let my dreams end wherever it will end, then wake up like it’s a message on what’s about to happen in the future.

I can’t constantly wake up from dreams, but sometimes if I feel I’m about to wake up, I can sink back in. Do you ever get that feeling that you’re about to wake up, know what’s going to wake you up, and are capable of waking up as soon as you recognize that? That’s a pretty crazy feeling.

my ability in dreams varies from moment to moment. Sometimes I'm aware I'm dreaming and consciously think in the dream "wow this is a cool dream." sometimes I don't know I'm dreaming at all. sometimes I know I'm dreaming but can't wake up. and sometimes I'll be able to wake myself up. It's annoyingly inconsistent.

I can sometimes change things, but I don't have much control over what happens even when I become aware that I'm dreaming.

i think ive mastered dreams because i always know when im dreaming always fully capable of changing whats happening or whos there or where im at or really anything

id like to hear more about this because for me dreams are like creative mode but i wanna know what a normal dreamer feels like

Here's a very easy to understand test you should always run before posting downloadable submissions here:

Step 1: turn off any antivirus software or adblockers you have

Step 2: click the download link you were going to use in the post

Step 3: attempt to run any files which you end up downloading

If the number of viruses on your computer is now higher than zero, or if you have had to view inappropriate content to download the file, or if you were not comfortable following those steps then use a different download link.

I don't care if it's accidental, if you make a post which leads to malware you're getting banned, it is your responsibility to check the safety of what you're going to post before you post it.

And one more thing, if the link you want to use says "this link cannot be used below level 20" and you are above level 20, that's not a bug it means that the link is blocked from being used, we usually only block links which are malicious so trying to bypass the filter to lead to a blocked site is also something we've had to give bans for several times.

I think posts on PMC scan the file for malware if it's directly uploaded, although even if they weren't scanned I don't think it's possible to make a schematic have malware, the file doesn't get executed so any code in it wouldn't be run.

We've had various instances of people using links like Cloudmon and Adfly, and it's quite clear that they did not test the safety of the link before using it as if they had, they either wouldn't use it or their computer would no longer be working well enough to post stuff.

Even a quick google search like "is adfly safe" would be enough to make it clear not to use it.
