lol before Spring break we had a map quiz on Africa (fill in the countries) and the night after it, I was chatting with my friend T20 - a geography expert obsessed with Albania - and wondering if we’d be doing Europe next; he said if we did, I’d know who to call (he’s great at European and Asian geography)
this morning, I had History, and the teacher handed out maps of Europe for us to start filling in so we could begin studying
funnily enough, this is the week that T20’s taking a break from the game we chat in (the quiz won’t be a for a few weeks tho lol)
“Unopposed under crimson skies Immortalized, over time their legend will rise And their foes can't believe their eyes, believe their size, as they fall And the dreadnoughts dread nothing at all”
- “Dreadnought” from The War to End All Wars (album released 3-4-2022) by Sabaton So, what do you think this song is about? Hint: it’s above this text.
I just played with the dumbest CTF player EVER. See, they had the enemy flag. Our flag just got returned. Instead of capturing, they decided to build a block tower to stand on while the dangerous enemy player (you know, that one guy who kills never loses a fight and hits you non-stop) was at our base. They could’ve dived down, but no, instead, they stood there while I failed to be a good last line of defense and that player took the flag. Later, our teams cursed each others’ flags, and it was just me and the flag-keeper, so I made it my mission to watch over them. About 30 seconds into being cursed, they decided to go towards the enemy base. As I’m chasing them across the ramparts (we were on Lunala) and trying to get them to see my “Follow Me” emote so we can go back, our flag is returned, and you know what happens? THEY KEPT GOING TO MOTHERFLIPPING ENEMY BASE! WITH A FLAG CURSE! At that moment, I literally closed the game because I was going nuts.

"And it’s the end of the line of the final journey Enemies leaving the past And it’s American troops and the German army Joining together at last"
- "The Last Battle" from The Last Stand (album released 8-19-2016) by Sabaton On this day 79 years ago, 5 days after Hitler's death, Allied Lt. General John Lee and his troops joined forces with rogue Wehrmacht soldiers led by Major Josef Gangl and SS-Hauptsturmführer Kurt-Siegfried Schrader (I just copied and pasted that whole name, by the way) to defend important French hostages from loyalist Nazis at Castle Itter in Austria. This was one of two times during WWII that the Allies and Nazis joined forces, the other being Operation Cowboy. Gangl was the only defending casualty, taking a bullet for a former French Prime Minister, and has been remembered as a national hero in Austria. (The song is called "The Last Battle" because it was one of the final battles in Europe during WWII before Germany surrendered 2 days later.)
