thanks! I love doing this style, allows me to be more 'free' with brushstrokes and not have to worry about making things look photorealistic. All while not taking too much time (this painting only took 1.5 hrs). Definitely will be doing more of these in the future.

Hitler couldn't come up with his own themes and content artistically, so he made watercolor productions of postcards and there were some people willing to buy them. He took this artistic sense with him as he climbed the political ladder, and employed this ethos in the design of all of the Nazis Party's decorations and embellishments and logos.
This reminds me a lot of generative AI, in the most dangerous ways it is being employed
Generative ai is being used by genocidal propagandaists because it is both cheap (free) and produces quickly. Ai art has a certain aesthetic that fits in with the fascist aesthetic. I have seen countless ai generated posters promoting the genocide of 🇵🇸 people.
The Third Reich had a certain aesthetic yet they were unimaginative in that aesthetic, they did not produce quality art, but rather, mass produced and cheap propaganda.
Generative AI lends itself to propaganda, and I'm not surprised it's coming to a head just as fascism in the US is on the rise.
I love this topic (among many others) because it is a rich starting point to discuss the connection between lack of creative output and its association with fascism. It may seem that AI generative art is a new frontier, but in reality, in practice , it is already walking along a well-worn path. The technology is different, but we have been here, we have seen this before (and not too, too long ago--- just ask your great grandparents from Eastern Europe).
