it just gets hard to feel so irrelevant to everyone irl every once in a while. like i have great online friends but having no one irl to talk to makes me feel pretty unimportant every now and then :,) but thank you <3

so sorry i keep disappearing work has been so crazy i just worked 21.5 hours this weekend alone and i want to cry because i told them i can really only manage 20 hours atm with my summer classes and i worked almost 30 total this week :,)

oops i kind of went inactive for a little bit, i’ve been on vacation this past week and i’ve basically been on a boat every day so i haven’t really had much down time haha xd it’s been really fun though! i tried wakeboarding and wakesurfing and not to brag or anything but i’m kind of a natural at it! this is our last day with the boat though D:

I’m taking a summer art class and we’re making a sculpture outside of the school and it has been near 100 degrees this entire week and disgustingly humid and the class is 5 hours long :,)

I finally got a job! Orientation day is Saturday :) Definitely not the most exciting job out there, but I’m just happy to have an opportunity to both get some money of my own and also gain some experience before college :D

ok so I’m going to be real here for a second because this has been a huge part of my life for the past two weeks and it has really changed how I’ve been living.
For like two years now, my sister and dad really wanted to get a puppy. And about two weeks ago, they finally indulged on this wish and brought a puppy home. But I didn’t want a puppy. Dogs are cute, they’re funny at times, and yeah, if they’re properly trained they can even do some cool tricks, but they’re so much work. And cause so many messes. I’ve barely been able to do anything for myself since this puppy was brought into our home. And the worst part? My sister is barely taking care of him! She promised she would take care of him if we got a puppy and do most of the work, but she still sleeps in while I wake up early to feed him and take him out, and won’t watch him for more an hour or so at a time. I spent 6 hours with him yesterday while my parents and brother worked. My sister watched him while I was at my job interview and that was it. I’ve been doing 80% of the work and have had all these responsibilities placed on me when I didn’t want to deal with them at all, and I can really feel my mental health slipping at the moment. Yes, I know he’s only a puppy and that’s mainly why this is so hard, but I just didn’t want to deal with this in the first place. My sister and dad barely did any research before getting this puppy as well, which flabbergasted me since they seemed to not only forget to ask the rest of their family their opinion on getting a dog but also failed to properly research what is needed to take care of the particular breed. I just have no more energy left in me to deal with this little guy right now, but I also know he’s part of my life now. The internet isn’t consoling me one bit either since every situation seems to be that the parents didn’t want the dog but the teen was all for it. Sigh.
Sorry for ranting. I don’t hate dogs, or pets. I won’t hate my puppy. I’ll obviously make sure he’s cared for. I’m just extremely stressed out and kind of angry at my sister for doing exactly what I thought she would do the moment she realized dogs are hard work and dump any major responsibilities on me.

maybe they should’ve waited until I left for college since my sister will be in the same situation as yours haha :,) i understand dogs can make a lot of people feel less lonely but yeah, it’s kinda of rough when it seems like the person that didn’t actually want to deal with such things seems to have to do the most. like for example, my parents will be out of town for two of the first three weekends since we got the puppy. i already made it clear that my sister will be doing most of the work this time because i’m done with her making excuses for why she can’t watch him. i definitely expressed this frustration to my family recently haha, and i know it will get easier and we got a fairly smart breed that has caught on quite well to the things we have taught him thus far but he’s definitely still a long way from being trusted unsupervised lol.

I’m definitely going to have her watch him more from now on. She’s been kind of defensive about how it’s not fair for her to be the “only one” watching him even though she fails to realize that before she’s even up I’ve had to watch him for up to three hours and that watching him for long periods of time is what she signed up for when she brought him home.
