I am aware of the website's rules regarding AI. This forum was made while that entire rule and idea was being discussed, and I wanted to see what PMC's userbase thinks about AI.

An ability to filter out tags!

Not sure if it would prevent content with those tags from showing up in your feed/the featured banner, or if it would be blurred and list what filtered out tags it contains. I'm leaning towards the latter

Well yeah. The goal here is not to figure out the majority opinion online or in the world, just on PMC. Although I could never get everyone active on PMC to vote, it has gotten reach so far

Since acitivty of this thread has slown down a bit, I'm going to leave a timestamp on what the votes are right now.

As of May 5, 2026:

Out of 199 votes:
2.5% (5 people) said they are okay with GenAI in any use case.
3.5% (7 people) said they are okay with partial GenAI use.
11.6% (23 people) said they are okay with GenAI in minor use cases.
76.4% (152 people) said they are not okay with GenAI in any use case.
6.0% (12 people) said other.

I have no way to know if it's not their genuine opinion. If they say something rude towards an entire group of people on my post, I'm going to call it out, regardless of if they actually believe it or not.

GenAI can't really make a detailed description of the content, unless maybe you tell it all the details, and in that case you sat down and wrote them anyway
