Story time and rant.

I just did my first job working at a concession stand with my grandpa and grandma because they needed some extra help (There were HUNDREDS of people wanting food, which I was not expecting). I was gonna be a cash register person, but once we started getting customers, I realized I'm super slow at math. My grandpa even tried making it easier for me by making all the prices whole numbers, but the third set of customers really messed me up. The couple seriously ordered a $6.00 item and a $9.00 item and frickin' gave me a 50 DOLLAR BILL! I didn't even have a slot for it in the lil' plastic register. T^T

So after the couple left, my grandma kicked me off the register and sent me to make fries. Then after a while of making the fries, a friend of theirs took that job too, and I was just kinda left to sit on the steps outside. I felt so useless. Then I became a messenger for my gramps and his friend Rob (Who was working in the kitchen in a different building) and I just kept running back a forth, sometimes bringing back beans, chille, or hotdogs, telling Rob exactly what was needed.

After about 2 more hours, I was kinda just sitting and eating chips, guarding the door I guess. I remember a little 9-year-old girl with her dog was trying to find a way to make money or get free food. She walked up to the door and didn't even acknowledge my existence. Her dog got right up in my face, but I like dogs so it wasn't that bad. I just started petting it and that's when she said "¢50 to pet the dog!" I kinda looked at her like she was crazy and she walked away and yelled "You have to pay, BOY!" I replied, "I'm broke" and kinda just laughed. She stood talking with her friends for a bit, before coming back up to the open door and looking inside, ignoring my existence once more. I began secretly petting the dog again and she didn't seem to notice. One of her friends then said, "You can't go in there, you have the dog." AND THIS KID STRAIGHT UP SAID "So?" That's when I kinda had to intervene. Before she could go in, I gently grabbed the doggo's collar and told the girl that bringing the dog in there would be unsanitary and would get her in big trouble. After that, she kinda just left to go do things with her friends.

This whole event lasted from 5-10PM. God, I was so tired. In the end there were $74 in the tip jar and my grandpa gave me $20. Honestly, I don't even feel like I deserve that much for the amount of work I did. All the adults did so much more than me. Hell, we still gotta do this for 2 more days! This is gonna be a long weekend..

Hey, anyone got any tips on how to convince my grandpa to take down a "Trump 2024" flag off our porch? Like, cool, you can support whoever you want, but it honestly makes so so uncomfortable. I've dealt with the flag for about two years now, and I just can stand it anymore. When I point out my house to friends, the first thing they see is that flag, and just start talking politics with me. Then adults like to blame me for stuff that the current president is doing even though I LITERALLY am too young to vote! I just don't want to deal with it anymore.

Also, if you comment, please don't start pushing political agendas or arguing about your favorite old man. I don't want to hear it. I just want some advice on how to politely ask someone to take down something that makes me uncomfortable T^T

idk why, but I have this weird addiction with manually adding captions/subtitles to all of my videos, even though I know I'm probably the only one who even looks at them, especially on speedpaints. It feels like an accomplishment when I do finish them though. Makes me quite happy :)

I'm still annoyed that I can't really add captions to my Happy Halloween animation because the song is in another language that I don't speak T^T

Dude, I just heard the new rules for one of my little step-sister's new fourth grade class. They're not allowed to have/bring binders, pencil cases, metal water bottles, disposable water bottles, or trapper keeper folders. As someone who brings a binder to every class and has done so for 7 years, I am OFFENDED. What do they think fourth graders are gonna have in a pencil case? A gun? A vape? I've been in that fourth grade classroom. The bathrooms are literally INSIDE it. Two small bathrooms with a single toilet in each. I doubt if a ten-year-old had a vape, they'd go in there. Hell, I doubt a ten-year-old even HAS a vape.

I just don't get the new rules man, and I'm not even in fourth grade! Maybe I'm just overreacting. Who knows..
