Apologies for the delay in the season, a few of our contestants either got sick or very busy and we had to grant some extensions to the deadline. We are now back on track and moving the season forward.

regarding many images on pmc being unavailable
tldr discord is deleting images after a while to free up storage space

what’s happening?
many images around PMC (wall posts, descriptions, profile pages) which are hosted on Discord are refusing to load, visiting the image URL returns an error.

what is causing it?
Discord doesn’t like it when you host images with them, so they’re creating a new system where images sent on Discord will be removed after a long period of time from Discord’s servers - there’s nothing we can do about it. it’s really inconvenient but PMC can do nothing about it, as it’s Discord who are hosting the image, and PMC is just displaying it from the image URL.

alternatives for image hosting
- if you’re up for a challenge, you could host your images through GitHub
- imgur is easy-to-use and doesn’t need logging in
- imgbb also exists
- Tixte is my favourite - you can upload images/videos/more and host them with a custom subdomain, with 15gb of storage space

its annoiyng, but PMC can’t do anything about it, and Discord ain’t gonna budge either.

man that is so...im so sorry man :( i checked my blogs and my heart sunk after seeing only a handful of my art being basically permantly gone and cant imagine how it feels for you man....i know you have even more great art to create though i hope you can find a way to get some of the old art back

hey errr i dont know if its just me but like . NO images are loading on my art blog or any other blog ive posted are loading anymore which makes me veeery nervous im praying its a pmc thing and not a discord thing (i use the discord image url for photos) cause i dunno WHAT ill do if its the latter

same here </3 my art blogs which had over 300 images on there are now completely obselete. i dont have the time or patience to really fix it either
