So, Mojang's Update Logs are written for their website version via HTML, and it was mostly following that format well, but when 1.26.3 snapshot comes about, someone probably thought it would be funny to start dropping end tags for list entries and see if anyone noticed it.

Well, my tool's been constantly pinging me about it for all logs starting from 1.26.3-s1, so I guess I have to deal with that extra case now. More updates soon!

PS: Technically HTML5 doesn't require list entries to have end tags if it's covered by the list indicators (browsers will still be able to handle those), but it does wreck tools made for older update logs where this wasn't being applied, so that's another thing I need to take care of.

    I mean, not really?
This is just what I need to do so I can proudly say that the stuff I make were properly designed and optimized for every game release it supports.

Well, it's been a long time since I last logged on here. Some of my friends are starting a Minecraft server, so I came back to PMC to look for skins and thought, why not log back in to my old account and take a look at it?

    Some thoughts:
    • There are skins I remember seeing when they were first posted that are now labeled "7y". I feel so old...
    • Some of my data packs did really well while I was gone, which surprised me because I low-key forgot I made them - the main thing I remember posting here was skins
    • The site looks just about how I remember it, which is... good, I guess?
As for updates on my end, I kind of moved on from Minecraft, although over the years I've had several of those "2 week Minecraft phases" people talk about. I'm starting my senior year at college studying Computer Science - and honestly, MC was a big part of why I starting thinking in that direction, just seeing mods (and hearing the origin story of the game itself) made me realize "there's a lot of cool stuff you can do with computer programming". (Also, the stuff I learned about pixel art from making skins came in handy for game jams and stuff.)

So anyway, what did I miss? Is anyone who knew me before still around? Feel free to say hi if so!

Glad to see you! I hope life is treating you well.

A lot happened to me the past few weeks, and I still got a lot of stuff I need to deal with, so while you wait for my next projects, I'd like to fix a little oopsie I've made about 8 months prior at the end of 2025.

The story I'd read about PayPal winning the Honey lawsuit lacked full context. The Honey lawsuit was dropped, but the verdict lets the creators post an updated version that needs to address the missing details that were raised during the case, which they did. The fight still continues, and the people are hitting Honey hard.

Also: Internet Archive did a really good job preserving history as is for everyone, and the big corps will probably try even harder to take it down when Honey eventually loses the lawsuit because of it.

Anyways, more project news coming soon!

The last time Mojang delayed a week in between snapshots, we got 1.20.5 in return.
If they're actually doing something like that again, bring it on. Scripter is ready. Let's see what they got.

(oh wait nevermind it's just summer break ... welp)
    Sul4ur2026-07-31 12:20:59
Dude the last tike I thought something like this could happen again, it was last year, when 1.21.6 was releasing.

I thought Mojang would make entities component-driven, instead of NBT-driven, just like they did with items back in 1.20.5.

Turns out, the snapshot was just delayed by 2 days. Oh yeah, we eventually never got component-driven entities.

Also, all my releases (except Decapitation, that's arriving later) are now officially designed for 1.26.2!
There just isn't a way for me to update all my projects at once here, then schedule when it's going to go live so that the 5 new updates per day limit is still properly respected.
I'm still having to do all that myself.

Here's hoping that PMC does something about that, and add 26.2 to the Compatibility list while they're at it. It's been a week, mates.
    TheDiamondPlayables2026-06-26 10:43:23
Thank you so much for taking the time to dig into that for me!
I noticed that the fix required special backend access, so I get it if this is just a temporary patch. If it would help you build a more permanent solution in the future, feel free to let me know if you need anything from me. Happy to provide anything I can to make it easier for ya.

PS: I had to edit this so many times before sending it, I'm definitely joining that skull reaction party.
    Cyprezz2026-06-26 09:12:58
GAH! Added 26.2 to data pack versions and I bumped your allowed updates per day to 50.

Whatever it is that happens next, let me say this: If I somehow managed to turn this thing into a proper job, I'll always remain independent. Outside funding isn't given to you without anything in return, and I don't want to compromise my projects' quality for anything else.

That being said, 26.2 is coming to my Datapack Collection about 2-3 days after it's official launch, just so I can be sure that there are no hidden changes between the official release and the snapshot versions. See you then!

Minecraft Live in a short post:
26.2 coming June 16 (no Friends list networking, that's now TBD), new gray wood set, wool stairs and slabs, red bush, 2 new leaf types (one fixed red, one biome colored, both same textures by the looks of it). Adventure Update 2 also TBD.
The update wasn't designed by the Sweden team by the looks of it, they're probably working on the Friends list networking - in which case we'll get it in the next update as well.

Microslop has recently stolen Skyblock from it's original creator, Noobcrew.
If you are a good creator using the Skyblock name in your own creations, please clearly state that Noobcrew is the original source and leave a link to their website: Skyblock.net.

It might be too late now, but it serves as a reminder to always cite your sources, because the lack of sources is one of the key reasons to the courts' legal decision to take away Noobcrew's ownership of Skyblock, the one thing that can legally stop companies from using the good of Skyblock name to churn out absolute slopfests. You never know who's really using your works, and for what purpose. Always cite your sources, folks.
    TheDiamondPlayables2026-05-24 03:54:32
This one is big though - a judge ruled in favor of Microslop on the lawsuit. Microslop and similar slop comps like Razzleberries and Jigarbov can now say they made the original Skyblock, net a ton of money from a concept they actually didn't start, and the original creator is legally not allowed to stop them.
    Sul4ur2026-05-24 03:01:47
I don't remember this being the first time Skyblock got stolen.
    TheDiamondPlayables2026-05-24 01:34:28
Of course, there were other things that big corps do which we can't easily control, but citing sources is not one of those things, so I chose to put that out there instead.

Finally, the icons from my website has been properly updated across the board.
Google has a lot of resources but they sure take a while to update these things.
(Takes 3 weeks for my case, and I've been bugging them a lot about it too)

EDIT: Okay, not everywhere everywhere, but still, most of it is now updated.

Today I learned that if you Silk Touch 8 Snow Layers you get a Snow Block.
Working on a tool that basically recaps every single piece of game interaction across a wide set of versions for use in future projects, and it's shown me a lot so far.

Lodestone Compasses are pretty interesting. If the Lodestone is broken, and a loaded entity was carrying one linked to said Lodestone when it is broken, the Compass will break. Broken compasses stack together when placed in chests. Copper Golems can help you sort items.

Putting all that together: if you break a Lodestone thousands of blocks away from a loaded Lodestone Compass (carried by, say a Copper Golem), the then broken one can be sorted into a Chest which is a trigger that lets you snap an Ender Pearl Chamber thousands of blocks away.

Vanilla Teleportation, without any fancy HUDs.

It doesn't really work between dimensions because that's not how Lodestone Compasses work, but still.

Super random snapshot commentary, but I find the back and forth tweaks made to Hoglins kinda shows that whoever is in charge isn't confident enough to hold their stance on the changes they're making.
To me it's kinda obvious: Even in Peaceful, players should have access to Hoglins for the Two by Two advancement. One can just block Hoglins from entering Portals, or make the Zoglin peaceful as well.

Also: TNT Sulfur Cubes is gonna be so fun to mess around with ...

    The biggest city in Minecraft!

My friend, IGLATMB, published a tour of Watergate. It's literally a lifetime project. And I'm glad I played a part in its construction and interior design.

    Enjoy!
