    i wanna get better at drawing. unfortunately though that means i need to suck at drawing for a while. and i cant really do any of the ideas i have justice

    what if i like asked for random ideas and did a daily sketch thing. make it fun to suck at drawing so i actually keep at it and slowly improve. could be interesting

    I think that's a great idea. Drawing is just like mastering any other skill..it takes a lot of practice. That's the best way to get good at it. There are also plenty of helpful books you can buy and some great resources online that can help too.

    its 4 am. packing and leaving day.

    sitting in the living room of the lil house Fish’s family rented for the weekend. listening to the nearest window AC unit humming. drinkin a glass of apple juice. room illuminated only by the porch light shining through the window. it’s a nice place. its old and janky, and im not a fan of how much the stairs creak, but. its nice.

    everyone else is asleep upstairs. i wouldnt mind if they were awake, though. i actually enjoy their company. they know who i am and they appreciate it. i dont have to hide anything from them. i can talk and joke and laugh and be myself without being stared at or questioned. i can have peace of mind without hiding behind a locked door.

    sometimes i forget that tiredness can be visual. like i’ll think to myself “man i’m exhausted, but i’ll keep going cause maybe someone’ll need me” and then i go to the bathroom and look in the mirror and realize i look like a corpse and i most definitely should not be trying to stay awake

    so uh. ive been staying with Fish’s family for the last few days. and its not over yet, we got one more day of the art show and then we’ll pack up and head home tomorrow. but like. this has been one of the nicest couple days ive had in a long while.

    i feel welcome here. i feel wanted. appreciated. i can talk to everyone. i can be open. i can be myself. i have nothing to hide. and on monday, i’ll be going back home where i’ll tuck everything away and go back to staying out of sight so im not in anyone’s way.

    went out in costume today hehe

    wore all the fursuit accessories (minus the scarf and tail) over some makeshift clothes that vaguely fit the theme (which i wont say cause i aint doxing myself lol). also tried the belt collar thing. had a fun exchange with Fish because of that

    very fun. still very hot outside. had a 14 inch corndog. it was wonderful. cant wait to do it again tomorrow

    staying in a house that doesn't have central heating and air conditioning. every room has its own little window AC unit. they're a bit loud, but i really like it. each room can be its own temperature. i got a bedroom to myself, and i can crank the temperature up to the terrarium levels of my own room back home without turning the whole building into a furnace hehe
