My 8 y/o self would probably first wonder who I'm friends with, since I moved when I was 8 and still had hope to make friends with people at my elementary school (once I was 10, I gave up on that). They'd likely be surprised when I didn't name anyone from elementary school. I'd warn them against choosing to keep the same teacher for third grade and giving her and their classmates a second chance. They'd probably ask me what a crush is because everyone in their class talked about it and they had no clue whatsoever. I'd tell them what it is, then also explain LGBTQ+ to them because I didn't entirely know what it was until I was 12 and I pretty much stereotyped gay people at 8 (that's all I really knew before 11). Onto that point, I'd tell them not to stereotype their classmates, especially as gay, because I stereotyped one of my classmates as gay based on her appearance when I was 8, but never told anyone, but it was harmful toward me. (When I started questioning myself, I thought that I couldn't be gay because I basically don't look a certain way).

They'd probably complain about math "magazines" and how they weren't allowed to read a book because the main character had a bf. I would reply that math will get harder and I still hate calling a literal folded piece of paper a "magazine" and to talk to their mom about the book and continue to go to the library and enjoy reading. I would tell them to continue reading Puppy Place books for as long as they want to because that is their favorite series. I would ask them about writing in school and they'd tell me that they don't get much work done in class. I'd tell them to try and their ideas are worth it and not wrong. I'd tell them that it's a beautiful thing that everyone has different experiences, and therefore different ideas.

After telling them I am them in the future, I'd ask them what they think of me and they'd reply that they don't know, because unlike my 10 y/o self, they didn't have as much of a fixed idea of who I'd be in the future. Yes, I'd wish I could be talking to my 10 y/o, rather than 8 y/o self.

I'm not really sure. I have a "hole" in my memories and can't recall what I was like up until my preteens. I have been told about what I was like though and if my sources are correct, 8 y/o me would probably be super kind to me even though to him I was a stranger. He would probably try to befriend me even as cynical as I am. I would be annoyed by him because of how optimistic, trusting, and naive he was. Part of me would probably contemplate whether it would be merciful to shake him out of his fantasy of a perfect family, life, and world into the reality that was soon to unfold. But then I would realize that, from the prospective of the me that exists now, the prior me feels dead and gone. Because of this I would probably choose not to tell him anything and just let him enjoy his fantasy a little longer even if it would be gone in about 3 years. Instead, even as much as he would irritate me, I would allow his attempts to become my friend to succeed. Before returning to my own time I would make sure he knew that I would always be his friend no matter what and if he ever missed me to just look inside his heart and there he could find me.

I would warn him about his 2018-2020 self. I would tell him to be nice to people on the internet because he will regret being rude to some people. As for his thoughts about me, he might see me as a really smart person who can always give knowledge on certain things.

I feel my 8 yr old self would be very curious, but also maybe have that little annoyance with like an older sister whos boring because im definitely not as energetic as I used to be. I'd also probably be proud of some of the things I've gained like my art improvements, and maybe scared of what's to happen when I grow up. I feel we would end up chatting about minecraft lol or just go play outside as I loved to do that. I was an excitable kid I would yab about anything so it's hard to say what we'd simply talk about, as it could be getting older, minecraft, games, who knows
