Getting lost in your expansive cave system? Need a helping hand? Using F3 feels like cheating?


Well look no further, this mod adds the Altimeter, a handy tool, that displays your current height, a bit like a compass, or clock.altimeterlogojpg

It is crafted similarly to a clock, but with a piece of Lapis Lazuli, like so:altimetercraftingpng
The arrow will point more toward the lighter side the higher you are, and more toward the darker side the lower you are.

It's quite simple really.

Requires ModLoader, to install it just place in .minecraft/mods folder without unzipping, and ModLoader will do the work for you.

You can change the ID it uses (150 by default) by editing the .minecraft/config/Altimeter.cgf file generated after the first run.

Goes great with my Ore Detector mod.

No, it absolutely is illegal, because Minecraft is copyright, so you cannot redistribute it.

dude back then i was an idiot ugh i may have been trolling or something but hey i just got back into MC again and this mod is fine (not cheating i admit) but is boring sorry to say but @dev good job at modding, wish u luck in future mods.

lols i think this mod is cheating as it is a modification an expansion NOT VANILLA i think f3 as an asset a minecraft helper added by notch not for debugging but added it for helping (even though it is for debugging)
