Download and install Minecraft Forge version 1180 for 1.7.10.

Place the Avatar jar file in your /mods folder.

Select your element with /bending water, /bending air, /bending earth or /bending fire

You'll then need scrolls. Scrolls can be found randomly spawned in the settlements currently in the mod. Just look around in chests - sometimes there might not be anything there, so it's all down to luck!

Hover over a scroll to show the help message (toggle with 'H' by default). Most require a right click, some need you to be sneaking before right clicking - have a play around with them to get to know all of your moves.

If you want key bindings, you need a bending satchel crafted with 5 leather and 2 diamonds.

Hold the satchel and press ' i '. This will open the GUI. Place scrolls in these slots, then exit the GUI. The default keys are 'Z X C V B N M , .' but you can go into Options >> Controls >> Scroll to the bottom and find Scroll 1 - Scroll 9 - then you can change the keys to anything you want.

Though gliders can be found in air temples, you can also craft them yourself. First you need Glider Wings.

Four Glider Wings and 2 Sticks make a Glider.

Finally, you can dye the white glider to make any colour.


Airbenders can use moves like Air Spring and High Jump to change their altitude, but non-benders can use them too! (Remember Northern air temple?). You'll need Air Vents to supply hot air that you can glide with. Craft them with 4 iron, 2 redstone, a furnace, a hopper and an iron bar.


To turn it on, it needs a supply of water, lava and power from and redstone device.

When is the update coming?

We have a very small team, and though we can work hard (at times...) we
have other things to do sometimes. Don't worry, we haven't given up -
the update might just take a little longer than you'd like. Rest assured
that it's because we want you to have a really cool update!



Can I play as the Avatar?

Yes, you can use /bending avatar to use all four elements. (NOTE: Only server ops and singleplayer worlds with commands enabled can use this command)



Can we go to the spirit world?

Yes and no. At the moment, there is a dimension that you can go to
called the spirit world. But you don't need to know how to get there
because there is nothing in it. Literally nothing. It will be worked on
some day!



Is there a server that runs the mod?

A server is being worked on currently, a replica of the actual world of
Avatar, where you choose an element and live in the city of your
choice. When it is ready, we will advertise on this page - stay tuned!



Can you add metal/sand/lightning/blood bending? Can you add -insert cool move that is hard to code here-?

We have a LOT to do. We have our own to-do list, and on top of that we
get inundated with requests from fans. Though these are appreciated,
they are unlikely to be added straight away. But wait! We do want the
ideas, so don't stop posting them. Just try not to demand them and have a
read of other peoples ideas to make sure yours hasn't already been
posted.



Why don't the bison fly? I can't control my polar bear dog!!

You can sit on your mobs, but at the moment you can only control them (there is no flight). This will be added in the future, don't worry.
