Greetings ye knights and lords!
If you are looking for a mod that transports minecraft back in time to the medieval times, then you've found it! Medieval Craft features weapons, materials, blocks, and decorations of a medieval theme. So far, it adds 6 new ores: copper, silver, lead, tin, nitre, and geode, and 38 new trees. It also adds a wealth of weapon types: greatsword, battleaxe, battlestaff, warhammer, warscythe, dagger, halberd, mace, flail, military fork, spear, crossbow, mancatcher, falchion, and scimitar. There are also siege defenses. New mobs include: humans, bears, hedgehogs, and deer. In addition to the blocks and items this mod adds to Minecraft, MedievalCraft also aims to augment a more realistic and in-depth survival experience.
This is the first mod I made that I am releasing. Please comment your opinions. Also, please post your crash reports if my mod causes your game to crash. As far as I know, this mod has no compatibility issues.

Important:
This mod requires the Baubles mod (version 1.8.9), by Azanor, and Player API Core 1.0 mod (version 1.8.9), by Divisor, and uses the latest version of Forge (1.8.9 - 11.15.1.1722).

x Fixed some small bugs.
x Made a lot of biomes more realistic.
+ Added the Iceland, Icelandic Volcano, and Arctic Sea biomes.
+ Added basalt and columnar basalt.
+ Added ocean sponges.
+ Added venting volcanic fissures.
+ Added small spiders.
+ Added daffodils, bluebells, dyer's broom, parsley, large speedwell, crowberry, bracken, heather, western gorse, cotton grass, Russian thistle, rhubarb, steppes grass, stipa grass, haberlea, and foxglove.

this is probably impossible, but... I would kill to get the earth biomes re-added to 1.12, doubly if compatibility was added with Terrarium (the mod that adds an earth world mode) but in the worst case I can probably get the biomes working manually so long as they exist

If you're having any trouble with updating to more recent Minecraft versions, I'd suggest looking into a GitHub repository. It's free and it makes managing a mod a ton easier when there are other people to contribute code.

Hey I was wondering if I could help create 4 new mobs such as the good knight and archer and evil knight and archer both which attack each other or the player depending on situation, also, what about mercenaries which fight for you??? I don't mean for u to program it but I will be happy 2 send u files when it's done

Yo, epic mod dude! despite it being 100% complete, i thought i would just add this. if it is possible could you add copper and tin tools but make them just a slight bit better than stone and weaker than iron? Thanks for the mod anyways, it is currently my favarote mod PLUS it was the first EVER for me to have inatalled!

Thanks bud, this was the first mod I ever released, so i'm pretty proud of the great feedback i've gotten so far. Despite it saying 100% complete, that just means it is no longer in alpha. Which means things are still being added. I was going to add more tools in the update after next, but I might bump that up to next update.

the "catapult" is actually a trebuchet, i think that the model isn't good and i would like to help since i'm a very experienced modeller but i don't have time and i'm sure that you wouldn't want to pay for my services

I realize that the current catapult model is excruciatingly inaccurate. It will change in the next build. However, there is a difference between the catapult and the trebuchet, and this catapult is in fact a catapult (it just doesn't look like it).

Do you think you can remodel the bear and the deer? That would be amazing if you did. They really need it, and I'm not that good at models. I have just been using techne to make the models, but I don't care what you use. I just need the java file and the texture map if you do remodel them.

I am aware that there is a target and bolts, but only the default minecraft bow to use. I meant to add crossbows a while ago, but I got distracted. However, there should be at least the steel crossbow in the next build.

Will this mod be compatible with mine and blade battlegear 2? Also, will you add overlapping armor? Lastly, I would be cool to have horses be more useful by adding a lance. If you do plan on making this mod compatible with mine and blade battlegear 2, hopefully you will add a two handed sword.

I haven't thought about Mine & Blade Battlegear compatibility, but I will look into it. Overlapping armor might come eventually. That is a cool idea, but will be hard to implement. Lastly, I will add lances eventually, along with all the other armors and weapons. That will be in the beta release.

Baubles is an api mod not created by the forge team. It is not included with forge.

I'm not sure where you heard that. They actually existed in Greek, Minoan, Roman, Goth, Ancient Egyptian, and other architecture as well. They're most commonly associated with Catholic and Renaissance period architecture, but are by no means limited to that era. Also, I figured few realize that gargoyles are actually decorated gutter spouts, so I used the term to refer to small statues in general.
