This mod fixes the Open to LAN function. In 1.4, this function broke and they have not fixed this yet. 0.0.0.0:port was the ip that hosted the server. People trying to connect would get a connection refused error. All your troubles with this are now gone with this mod!

U guys have to allow Java TM platform SE binary through ur firewall (BOTH OF THEM) to play LAN

I was using 1.4.6 when I downloaded this. Give me a real reason why it doesnt work?

It won't show up in the LAN list in the multiplayer menu. You actually have to type it in a new server box.

no, this is a very rarely modified class of minecraft. you shouldn't have issues
