Welcome to MC Rebirth, a mod which was originally developed a year ago, by me. However, it was abandoned. Then, December of 2013, it came. MC Rebirth 1.0. The newest version. And now, 1.3 has come along. This is going to be by far the biggest update that will happen to MC Rebirth for quite a while. Allow me to introduce you to 1.3 - THE MAGIC UPDATE. Self explantory. Most aspects will be 'magical', and so, they will be awesome!

undefined

1.3.1.4 - Part 1 of the Magic Update - New Dimension!

- A New Dimension, called Necroan
-- Very Work In Progress, will be expanded upon in future version
-- Currently is a blank slate for the dimension. Recommended to visit as little chunks as possible to avoid missing out on the upcoming things in the dimension.
-- Will likely be update in 1.3.1.5 in the next few days.
- Adds the Scythe, a new weapon
- Adds the Possessed Lighter, used to get to Necroan
-- Again WIP, cannot be crafted yet (will require something not added yet to create)
- Adds Souls...
- Adds Blocks of Torture, the block used to get to Necroan
- Added Grimstone, the block you find in Necroan

1.2
A new use for all the very original gemstones (excluding Jade, because it was only added just before the Public Release, not the actual test release...)

Crystal: Added Poison Staff
Tanzanite: A few changes, and added Flaming Sword
Apatite: Added Ocean Torch
Amethyst: Added Amethyst Block (with Special Effect)
Amazonite: Added Ally Staff
Sapphire: Added Sapphire Block (with Special Effect)

Jade: A couple of revamps, and Airstone is now called Zephyr Stone.

Mercury & Clintonium: Now behave like water.

1.1 - The Fluid Update
Two New Liquids! (Both spawn in overworld, underground)
- Mercury
- Clintonium (also found as ore in the End)
Two new Ores
- Clintonium - Found in the End (also found as Liquid in the Overworld)
- Bloodstone - Found in the Nether
New Items
- Staff of the Supernatural: Fires random projectiles at opponents! Requires Mercury
- Tool Frames: When put in the crafting table with Diamond Tools, out pops Enhanced Diamond Tools.
- Blood Harvester: Sacrifice some of your health (well, quite a bit), for some buffs!
- Enhanced Diamond Tools: The Next Tier has arrived!
New Block
- Jade Block: Crafted like a Crystal Block. This Block, when right clicked, spawns a Chest with some pretty cool loot inside.
Misc Changes
- Minor Name Change in the Mods menu (from Minecraft Rebirth to MC Rebirth)
- Updated to Version 1.1 (obviously)

MC Rebirth is an ore focused mod, which will make you think it to be unoriginal. However, this mod is original, because unlike most ore focused mods, it isn't just an ores and tools mod. In fact, even a couple of ores are original. I mean, how many other mods have Liquid Ore in their mod? Only a couple others, if any. The items this mod adds, and also the Ore Blocks added are pretty original, if I do say so myself.

Ores

Crystal

Originally added in: 1.0 - First Release
Last Update in: 1.2

Summary: Crystal Ore is found fairly commonly underground, and is a fairly useful ore early on. It can be the best ore around early on, because of it's Crystal Block. When Crystal Ore is mined, you obtain a Crystal. With Crystal, you can create one of two things. You can make Crystal Armour, which is made like normal armour. This armour is not very special, and has no effects. It also has the same durability as Gold, but it's Armour Rating is the same as Iron. However, a special feature of Crystal is the Crystal Block. When you have 9 Crystal, and you put it into a crafting table, you obtain the Crystal Block. The Crystal Block is a special ore block. When right clicked, you will sacrifice your Crystal Block for another ore block at random. It could be a Diamond Block, or just a Coal Block. It could be an Iron Block, or a Diamond Block. It could be even more than those.

1.2 Update: Now, you can also craft a poison staff with Crystal... simply put a Crystal on the top, and two Blaze Rods underneath it. Done. Also, the Crystal Blocks have been given an update, as they now have a chance to spawn completely useless blocks!

Tanzanite

Originally added in: 1.0 - First Release
Last Update in: 1.2

Summary: Tanzanite is an ore which has more of a purpose when you have been to the Nether to obtain some items. However, early game, you can use Tanzanite (Tanzanite Ore's drop), to craft a sword, as long as you have flint. To make the Sword, you need to get Sharpened Tanzanite, which is easy to craft, as you just need 1 flint and 1 Tanzanite. Then, to actually make the sword, you place the 1 stick and 2 Sharpened Tanzanite in the formation of a sword. Out of that, you obtain the Tanzanite Sword. Tanzanite's second use is to create the Fire Staff. To create the Fire Staff, you first need Flaming Tanzanite and 2 Blaze Rods. To get Flaming Tanzanite, simply put 2 Blaze Powder and 1 Sharpened Tanzanite into the crafting table. Then, to make the staff, put the 2 blaze rods underneath the Flaming Tanzanite, and then, you will get a Fire Staff.

1.2 Update: You can now craft a Flaming Sword! Which sets the opponent on fire, and it deals a hefty 10 damage! Also, Fire Staffs now set fire to the ground if you miss. Makes them a little bit more dangerous.

Apatite

Originally added in: 1.0 - First Release
Last Update in: 1.2

Summary: Apatite has only one use, but it's use is one of the best uses. To get Apatite, you must mine the ore, which is only found in Ocean Biomes, under the sea, in the stone. After it has been mined, you obtain the Apatite. Then, with the Apatite, you can make Breath Armour. Breath Armour allows you to breath underwater, and it also gives you night vision. It also has a fairly good armour level, and durability. However, you only get this buff if you have a full set of Breath Armour, otherwise, there is no point having the armour.

1.2 Update: You can make an Ocean Torch! This torch can be used underwater to see, meaning that it gives you a breathing hole, and a little bit of light!

Amethyst

Originally added in: 1.0 - First Release
Last Update in: 1.2

Summary: Amethyst has only one use, but like Apatite, it is a useful thing to use. Amethyst appears at a similar rate to Apatite. Amethyst Ore drops the Amethyst. With Amethyst, you can make Resistant Armour. This armour not only has a high armour rating and durability, but it also gives you Resistance when you have a full set on, just like the name says so.

1.2 Update: Amethyst Blocks have been added! This blocks automatically destroy everything, apart from bedrock, meaning they can be good water forcefields, and even just good old mining machines if you don't have the pickaxe to mine a certain thing.

Amazonite

Originally added in: 1.0 - First Release
Last Update in: 1.2

Summary: Amazonite has only one use, but unlike Apatite and Amethyst, it makes a staff. This staff does not deal damage, and instead heals you. This staff is the healing staff. To get it, you simply need to have 2 blaze rods and 1 amazonite, then craft it like you craft the Fire Staff.

1.2 Update: Ally Staff's have been added! These staffs are like Healing Staffs, but you can use them on your friends to heal them! Also, as of 1.2, Healing Staffs only give you regeneration, and don't heal you straight off the bat.

Sapphire

Originally added in: 1.0 - First Release
Last Update in: 1.2

Summary: Sapphire is one of the more complicated ores in MC Rebirth, as it has many uses. Sapphire is only found in Desert Biomes, underground, in the stone. It is also found quite rarely, making Sapphire one of the most valued ores in MC Rebirth. When you get a Sapphire, you need 8 Water or Lava buckets. Then, you surround a Sapphire with those buckets. Depending on your choice, you get either a Waterstone or Lavastone (Water -> Waterstone, Lava -> Lavastone). With these stones, you can create armour. This expensive armour is very good. If you go on the path of the Waterstone, when you have a full set, you not only have very good armour, but you also have the potion effect Regneration II. Regeneration II makes you quite strong, in case you didn't know. However, if you go on the path of the Lavastone, and craft armour out of that, you again get strong armour, but you also get Fire Resistance II.

1.2 Update: You can make Sapphire Blocks! These blocks, when you stand on them, give you a lot of speed for a couple of seconds, allowing you to make quick progress if you need that sorta thing.

Jade

Originally added in: 1.0 - First Release
Last Update in: 1.2

Summary: Jade is the rarest solid ore in MC Rebirth, and has a very good use. In order to use the power of Jade, you must smelt Jade to get an Zephyr Stone. Then, you can craft a Light Staff! The Light Staff required Blaze Rods, just like the other two staffs. However, this staff is very, very strong. It fires a projectile, which, when it hits an entity, it Withers and Blinds them. Basically, makes them incredibly ill. This Staff can cause long spells of pain and suffering, which is good to do to your friend if he annoys you. As well as that, you can craft the Jade Block, if you have 9 Jade. Then, right clicking on the block will sacrifice the block for a chest. Inside that chest is random loot! It could be good, or it could be terrible. It's another gambling game in the mod.

1.2 Update: Jade Blocks now have a chance of giving you Zephyr Stone, Lavastone, Waterstone, Flaming Tanzanite, Sharpened Tanzanite, Mercury Ingots or Clintonium Ingots.

Mercury - Liquid

Originally added in: 1.1 - The Fluid Update
Last Update in: 1.2

Summary: Mercury is the rarest ore in MC Rebirth that is found in the overworld. Mercury is a liquid. To harness the power of Mercury, you must have a Water Bucket on you. Then, you will need to pour water over the Mercury, to get Solid Mercury (water cools it). Then, you can mine the Solid Mercury. But be careful! It will melt again if there is lava next to it or underneath it, or even above it. After obtaining the Solid Mercury, you must smelt it to get Mercury Ingots. However, unlike normal ores, when you smelt Solid Mercury, you get 3 Mercury Ingots. Then, you can make the Staff of the Supernatural, providing you still have 3 solid Mercury left, and 5 Mercury Ingots. You will also need a light staff. To craft this, you need to put a Light Staff (which has lost no durability) in the middle, and at the top, put 3 Mercury Ingots. Then, on the sides of the Light Staff, put two more Mercury Ingots. Finally, you must put 3 Solid Mercury at the bottom. Then, out comes the Staff of the Supernatural. This staff, when used, fires a random projectile at an enemy. It may heal them, or do the same as what a Light Staff does, or even just fire what the Fire Staff does. It's... random, and supernatural.

1.2 Update: Now behaves like water, and not air.

Clintonium - Liquid and Solid

Originally added in: 1.1 - The Fluid Update
Last Update in: 1.2

Summary: Clintonium is a bizzare and confusing ore. It can only be mined by itself, as a solid... wait, what? Well, to obtain Clintonium without using Creative Mode, you must get a bucket of water, and throw it on top of Liqiuid Clintonium, found in the Overworld fairly commonly underneath Layer 16. Then, you get Clintonium Blocks, which you can mine with just a Diamond Pickaxe. Then, you must smelt the Clintonium Blocks, to get 4 Clintonium Ingots (you can revert these back to Clintonium Blocks in the Crafting Table). With Clintonium Ingots, when you put them in the crafting table, with 3 in the top row, 2 in the 2nd row, and 1 in the bottom row, in a filled diagonal line, you get a tool frame. Then, you can repair your diamond pickaxe to full durability. Then, with full durability diamond pickaxe, if you put it in the crafting table with a tool frame, you get an Enhanced Diamond Pickaxe! An Enhanced Diamond Pickaxe is more durable than a normal Diamond Pickaxe, and it can mine Clintonium Ore, which is found in the End.It can also mine Bloodstone, the final ore currently in MC Rebirth.

1.2 Update: Now behaves like water, and not air.

Bloodstone

Originally added in: 1.1 - The Fluid Update
Last Update in: 1.3.1.4 - Part 1 of the Magic Update

Summary: Bloodstone is a Nether Ore, which can only be mined by Enhanced Diamond Pickaxes and above (if there is anything above). Bloodstone Ore, when mined, gives you Bloodstone. With Bloodstone, you can make the Blood Harvester. The Blood Harvester is fairly easy to craft. You craft it like an axe, but with an extra Bloodstone on the top row (you still keep the sticks in the middle row). When you have a Blood Harvester, if you right click with it, you will sacrifice some of your health for 4 buffs; Strength, Regeneration, Resistance and Speed. They last about 10 seconds each, and it is really worth sacrificing your health for something like that. It is also used, along with Souls and Netherrack, to craft Blocks of Torture.

Misc Blocks / Items

Souls

Originally added in: 1.3.1.4 - Part 1 of the Magic Update

Summary: Dropped occassionally by Zombies, Zombie Pigmen or Skeletons, this is used to craft Blocks of Torture.

Scythe

Originally added in: 1.3.1.4 - Part 1 of the Magic Update

Summary: A simple weapon, with no special purpose. However, it deals an awful lot of damage. Crafted like the Blood Harvest, with Obsidian instead of Bloodstone.

Possessed Lighter

Originally added in: 1.3.1.4 - Part 1 of the Magic Update

Summary: Work In Progress. Used as the lighter to get to Necroan.

Block of Torture

Originally added in: 1.3.1.4 - Part 1 of the Magic Update

Summary: Crafted using Netherrack, Bloodstone and Souls, this is the portal block used to get to Necroan.

Grimstone

Originally added in: 1.3.1.4 - Part 1 of the Magic Update

Summary: A dark, gloomy stone, found in Necroan.

Necroan Portal Placer

Originally added in: 1.3.1.4 - Part 1 of the Magic Update

Summary: Used to quickly place a Necroan Portal. Can only be used in creative. Well, summoned in creative.

Necroan

Necroan is a dimension. It is very work in progress, and in an Alpha State. It's in bold, because it's important to know it's not complete. It will be reviewed, and things will change in it over time. More additions, some little tweaks here and there. It will be looked at lots.

undefined

- More uses for certain ores which lack more than 1 use.
- New Biomes
- New Mobs (Scheduled for Part 2 of the Magic Update)

Known Bugs

- Mercury crashed the game (CheckForHarden() method not working).
-- Possibly for Clintonium as well. (Try to avoid both).

If you like the mod, a Diamond would be appreciated. I would also appreciate it if you subscribed to me on this website. I would also like it quite a lot if you favourited this mod, if you really loved it (it's why the favourite button is a heart).

Anyways, tell me what you think of the mod, tell me any bugs.

Hey! Could I use this mod in my public modpack? It looks VERY useful so im thinking of adding it!

All credit goes to original mod authors of course :)
Ive also Banned the deconstruction of the pack to use the individual mods (As this could take away downloads from the OG authors).

Thank you for your time,

Now that I think about it, you can't ban the deconstruction of a pack, because nothing can stop them. The only way you could stop them is by putting all of the folder to my mod with other mods, which I won't allow. Sorry. Even then they could just pull the folders out and shove them together to put the mod together. So, sorry, but no.

When I downloaded this mod, all I got was a bunch of folders inside one another that led to some .png files. Forge didn't even load the mod. Any guidance you could offer?

24th diamond from me. You can craft a set of diamond armor now. :D Here are my ideas for the mod:

1. Titanium Ore: Titanium is one of the rarest ores in the whole mod. It can be used for a titanium set of armor and weaponry. Titanium is the next tier after enhanced diamond. Titanium ore can only be mined by an enhanced diamond pick.

2. Long Sword: Long swords are a new weapon type. These weapons do less damage then a normal sword but you can hit enemies from farther away. There is a long sword for every tier in the game. To craft a long sword, you must first make the blade. The blade is made out of three of the material you're using in a straight line. You combine the blade with one stick to create a long sword.

3. Skeletal Creeper: Skeletal creepers are a new, aggressive mob. Skeletal creepers do more damage when they explode but burn in daylight.

4. Wither Creeer: Wither creepers only spawn at nether fortresses. Wither creepers are a little bigger then normal creepers. This sub-type of skeletal creeper does the same amount of explosion damage as a skeletal creeper but also gives the wither effect.

5. Baby Enderman: Baby endermen spawn in The End dimension only. Baby endermen will steal items a player is holding and run away. Baby endermen do not attack when hit. They run away. You can only retrieve your item by killing the baby enderman. But beware, hitting a baby enderman makes adult endermen angry with you. Because baby endermen are still young, they do not have the ability to teleport so they just run away when they are attacked or when they steal an item.

6. Enderman AI: Endermen have a new AI. They can now equip items and wear armor.

7. Maple Tree: Maple trees are new trees you can get maple syrup from. Maple syrup is used in several new villager trades added in. For example, a new blacksmith trade added in will give you 2 sharp tanzanite if you give the blacksmith 1 maple syrup bucket and 4 emeralds.

8. Shack: A new structure that generates in plains. Shacks are simple, little huts that will have one villager spawned in them. This villager can have any profession.

9. Ruby Ore: Ruby uses the ruby ore and ruby texture in the Minecraft game. Ruby is used to create the Strength Armor. Like the other armors that give potion effects, except this gives strength. A very useful armor type. Ruby ore only spawns in jungle biomes.

10. Bow Tiers: There are now tiers for bows. The new tiers in order from weakest to strongest are iron, gold, and titanium. To craft an iron bow, you take 3 string and 2 iron ingots in a bow formation. The middle spot where the third iron ingot would be is ruby. The crafting recipe is the same for the other tiers of bows, except replace the iron ingots with whatever material you're going to use to create your bow.

11. Ignus Ore: Ignus ore is a common ore only found in the Nether. Ignus is like nether quartz as it is used for redstone circuits. Ignus is a burgandy metal that must be smelted into ignus ingots in a furnace when mined.

12. Ignus Plate: Ignus plates are made of three ignus ingots. Ignus plates work like exactly like redstone wire except it does not have to be placed on top of another block. Ignus plates will connect with redstone wiring.

13. Minecart with Redstone: Minecarts with redstone are minecarts that have redstone blocks. It is basically a power source for redstone wiring that can be moved on a minecart track.

14. Grinder: A new machine that can grind minerals into dust. It uses coal as a fuel.

15. Ignartz: When you grind quartz and ignus into their respective dusts, you can combine them into ignartz dust. Ignartz dust can then be smelted into an ignartz ingot which has many special uses.

16. XP Converter: XP converters are machines that use redstone dust as fuel and are created with 8 ignartz ingots surrounding 1 ghast tear. XP converters require glass bottles and materials. XP converters can convert materials into XP and fill glass bottles with it. XP converters are a good way to get extra XP.

This looks like a fairly well-planned mod. I do question why the FireStone armor grants you Fire Resistance II though. any level of Fire Resistance does the same thing. That would be like giving someone Invisibility III. It may be a higher potency effect, but they're still just as invisible.
