Obsidian Records Recipe Mod:

Use obsidian + dyes to craft records.

To install you need:

1.0 Custom Recipes Mod by MightyPork

Load Minecraft to install custom recipes.

Download the mod.

Extract the zip.

Move obsidian_records.txt to .minecraft/mods/customrecipes/

Enjoy.

HELPFUL SUGGESTION: change it so that you smelt Obsidian block to make empty record, then add dyes for records :D

@dutchyblade, I'm sure there are at least 10 different disc mods.

Nice mod! I would try it if I played singleplayer so I could make discs.

Obsidian Records is a 1 KB download.

Music Disc Mod is a 242 MB download.

So yeah lots of overlap.

In Minecraft records are random drops.

In Minecraft 1.8 there were only 2 songs.

Minecraft 1.0 upped that number to 11.

Obsidian records is about crafting existing records using dyes.

I have wanted to make this mod since mid October.
