Greetings my man! Yes, I do agree with Cynicalpear this mod is lovely. If you caring for feedbacks my idea would be an ancient oceanic cave biome shielded from the surface where these animals could be found without crossing a dimension. I won't mind if you even scale them up as every insect in Minecraft from bees to spiders is admirable in size compare to a wolf or a pig or to a sheep, Why do we need a 1 block long Anomalocaris? When we could have a 3 blocks long Anomalocaris!
These ancient water insectoids deserve care and I'm in full wingspan to see where this mod will evolve!
