Progress is a mod, that shows progress while saving. It works when your Leaving/Generating a world. It also works when your going into another dimension. Since version 1.3, Progress also decreases loading time when leaving a map.

Nope. Heres a hint, if it needs modloader it will probably have a class the starts with mod_ block_ or item_. The developer will probably tell you.
