Hello, fellow Minecrafters. This mod is about wide gauge, big locomotives, armoured trains and other railway stuff. The mod is being ported to 1.10, but 1.7 versions gets some bigfixes and new features as well.

Log for the Rails of War version 1.7.10-5.8-RC4

A hotfix for 1.7.10-5.8-RC3.

Fixed bugs:
+ Stock not able to pass the connection of two turns
+ Stock not able to pass some of the parallel switches

+ Removed unused skipFaultySounds option from config


Log for the Rails of War version 1.7.10-5.8-RC3

Various bugfixes and enhancements following Don's latest version, 1.7.10-5.7.2-D. Some new stuff as well.

New features
+ Discrete three-positional reverse and five-positional regulator functionality and animation for SSW
+ Regulator functionality for all of the steam locomotives, and animation for Ov and Yer's
+ Speedometer animations for SSW and Ov
+ Charge indicator and manometer animations for SSW, which also has some of the pneumatics functionality
+ Overhead labels with debug info (speed, tangent, mass, fuel/charge, pressure)
+ Looping sounds for stock (all that 'roll' and 'skirr') as well as some other single sounds (wheel 'knock', etc)
+ Track wand to fix tracks from pre-RoWD and delete lost gags

Fixed bugs:
+ Stock being rotated rapidly for a moment when passing from one track to another (mostly on turns)
+ Minor bug with stock being rotated slightly into opposite direction in the beginning of switch siding
+ Minor bug with track item not being picked correctly
+ Brakes not working at all, which was visible on low speed
+ PacketSendTrackData leak
+ Switchstand desync in multiplayer
+ Major bug with track data not being sent from remote server to client on world load

+ Reworked coupling physics so that they act less like rubber ropes but more like chains
+ Fuel consumption is now not constant-rate, also made fuel to last longer
+ Trains now have inertia
+ Reduced smoke amounts, made all of the steam locomotives use Ov-style smoke instead of vanilla one
+ Made stock collision boxes more narrow to fit 3m clearance
+ Fixed bench models
+ Fixed bench behaviour (only uni-directed blocks will form a long bench)
+ Reverted Ov model back to it's original state, now those holes in the geometry are gone

Lots of other minor changes as well.

Forge 1.7.10- or higher required.

Hey, i Downloaded this mod, and i can only drive the O-Class. I can put batteries in the Diesel, but then i cant enter the cabs on the Tank Engines and the Diesel, Can you please help me?

This looks amazing, but I cant get any of the trains to work even though following the insturctions and it is really laggy but good job anyways

Can you update this to 1.10.2 and 1.11.2?
The mod is under rewirte for 1.10. But you have to wait a while (atm is Naiten working on a few new features and bug fixes for 1.7.10)

I have always been a train fan, may add a GP40, VL60 and more post 1960s trains. No an Intercity 125!
I Want The Trains To BE conneted
Naiten you have only 5-6 locomotives. if you could add more trains at least 16-17 more and 16-17 more wagons then the mod could be the best mod, trust me!

i have a recomendation for this awsome mod pack i love it. Naiten you should add to the mod is a train turntable and round house. it would be sick.
How to use trains?
Little difficult to download, but is 100% worth it. Effiecient travel and amazing detail for the limitaitons of minecraft. Great work for just 40% completion, can't wait for it all.

this is the best train mod i have ever seen the work you have done on this so far is amazing. i am definately going to make a rail network using this mod
If I add a curve, I can only have diagonal tracks after, I can't put another curved track, does nayone else have the same problem? Im using the 1.7.10 version

I had issues trying to place the second curved track at the end of the first. But if you start where you think the second one will end, it should work. It is a bit of a pain to guess teh location though so be prepared to rip it up and try again a few times.
Yeah, found out the hard way, and like you say, it's a pain to get it correct, but now it works anyway :D

I came Up With another Idea For the Railroad Crossings. You know those WigWag Crossings From the Old OLD OLD days? Maybe a design For those Would be cool becuase your mod is based on The old days. :P
Hope fully im not making you crazy with all the suggestions Just saying But other than that your mod is AWESOME
By the way a  suggestion It would be cool if you could make the railroad crossing gates be custumizable, By that i mean you could make them go up to like 10 blocks if you wanted to to. But there would still be a max lenght. And so that you could make a detector track triggers the crossings or what ever. You know what i mean. :P Yeah and So that they could have gantrys.  The railroad crossings. Thanks for readiing, I hope i gave you some ideas! :D

you should add steam turbine locomotives, mabye the scherwer gustav as well, or missile transporter cars

Hey i dont know if anyone else has run into this problem as well but when ever i try to place anything down from the second menu (ex. lamps,post, signals) it makes my game crash. If anyone could tell me why this is that would be much appreciated, thanks!

Brilliant! Love this mod!!!! Can the quarry tub be filled? Currently building a family adventure map with row for my son. He is going to lose his mind when he sees the 3d rails and large trains. Thanks for making it possible!!!

i know, but ive tried and its VERY HARD. one time it crashed minecraft in 1.5 (I couldnt use minecraft at all) then in a later version it just crashed the game when i used the profie. so that's why i cant get forge. if you can find me any tutorials that might work on a mac id be very happy.

Is there a way to remove a locomotive? I was testing out the mod and i wanted to try out a new train but the one I was using wouldnt go away.
