The John Mod Reborn is a horror mod inspired from the 2011 Minecraft Mod, The John Mod, and the 2012 remake, along with the 2020 remaster of the mod. The mod aims to recreate a modern look of the John, featuring new items, textures, and new creatures to discover, while keeping the same creepy vibe from the original mod, and more.

When I was 10, I watched the SkyDoesMinecraft video and absolutely loved it. I never managed to download the mod back then because I was too stupid to figure out the process for downloading mods on version 1.2, lol. However, in 2020, I was given the opportunity to play the remastered version when I learned it had been updated.
At the beginning of the year, I wanted to do a 1.18 modded survival playthrough with my friends. And it sucked knowing that the John mod wouldn't be a part of it. Consequently, I decided to invest some time in developing a new version of the mod. To my satisfaction, it turned out exceptionally well, and very excited to see what the future holds for the John Mod.
And I used MCreator to make the mod. And before anyone freaks out I am not a professional Modder. This is only a side project, then if you want to go, follow a good development team, I suggest look at the Aether Team, cause they are dope. Or the last 3 people who made the Mod, Notvirgen, SCMowns, and of course Kurtss. We would not be here without him :).
I have amazing help from my discord members and friends and they all helped me make this mod.

I cannot stress enough how much I've wanted a port of John to the newer versions of the game
Not only that, but it makes it even better that this mod adds its own little tweaks and liberties to expand on the concept of John
For one year of development and a small and pretty "unexperienced" team, ya'll did your thing, and also bless the original creator and the other porters for doing what they could and keeping John to date
I have little to no experience in coding and I've just recently attempted to use blockbench, but I had made my own take on John with a simple texturepack I made, which is this one
Maybe if you put a link to your discord I could share my ideas there
And of course I'll be anticipating what you guys have in store for the next update! (Also wondering what that collab will be about)
And even if the server is privated, I'll be around if you need a helping hand with the textures, maybe to make the textures of the regular John more different than Pixelperfect's John, or maybe give you some stuff I've already made like my texture of the Inmortality gem block I have, or a painting
I've already practiced making a random John in blockbench, it's not finished but it's just a little something to show that I can help (Also also random John drawing I made)
