🏝️🐬🌺 Aesthetic.schem ️ 🌺🐬🏝️
Entry for the Minecraft Open Community Event sponsored by NVIDIA
Entry for the Minecraft Open Community Event sponsored by NVIDIA
The idea for this build is to create a surrealist/dreamlike virtual simulation inspired by VR and Computer graphics, I took some elements from vaporwave as I thought it would look interesting and also fits the style I was going for nicely.
Also seems like vaporwave is a style that hasn't been applied often to Minecraft builds in the past, if you look for Minecraft builds in that style you will find very few builds, or at least for me that was the case so I thought going for that would be an interesting theme choice for this entry.
The build features busts, statues, classical architecture, a pool, a small city, a small shopping center, and other elements inspired by vaporwave aesthetics, going for the surrealist/dreamlike side of it.
I named the build ending with .schem as thats the file format for Minecraft Build Schematics which are used to save, load and share individual minecraft builds easily without the need to do the same with world files, schems are used by minecraft build tools like WorldEdit for example.
ヴェイパーウェイヴアース (Vaporwave Earth)
海の守護者 (Guardian of the sea)
ショッピングセンター (Shopping center)
Notes
I did crop a portion of the starter map, I did this so world file is smaller/lighter and its easier for me to upload, also I wanted to rotate the terrain so I could get the sun from a better angle for lighting on the screenshots. But starter terrain is still recognizable, coords for the terrain on the original starter map are 2740 75 2145
Map is 1.16.5 instead of 1.17, I built this on Buildersrefuge and at the time of me uploading this theres no 1.17+ build server available there so I had to adapt the terrain to 1.16.5. Loading on newer versions shouldnt be an issue
If wondering shaders used are Sildurs Extreme VL v1.31, slightly modified with fog disabled

Credits
I did use a tree pack but just for the Palm trees, I used FeH2's tree pack (https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/1k-treepack-by-h2co3/)
Terrain by McMeddon ( https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/official-starter-map-for-the-2021-pmc-and-nvidia-minecraft-build-event/ )
Besides that everything else is built by me.
This has been fun to make. I hope you all like it and thanks for checking my entry, I wish the best of luck to everyone participating on this event :)

Didn't know we were allowed to modify the terrain to this extend. Though, you definitely did it in a good way to support your build.
