The mizzle saga is a serie of maps created with the latest version of Minecraft. In these maps, I try to use all the new feature added with the snapshot. You don't need to play Mizzle to play Mizzle II.
Mizzle was released for minecraft 1.7, Mizzle II is for Minecraft 1.8 !
For you, it's a good way to discover what we (mapmakers) can do for you (players) in a great adventure map.
Don't worry, the map is also fun. =)

In Mizzle II, I'm using all the new features added in Minecraft 1.8: Guardians, world border, slime blocks, particles and more to create cinematics, puzzle and unique game mechanics. Brace yourself, it's amazing.

Discover an improbable laboratory with Dok, a mad Scientist throught 3 chapters in 3 different environements (1 to 2 hours of gameplay). Using your communicator and your pickaxe, you'll be able to chat with Dok, destroy and place some blocks to help you. Try to find the exit of this hazardous laboratory before it's too late.
Ingredient for Mizzle II: 90% puzzle, 10% pakour and 42% weird story

- Invisible Item frames in chapter 2 (blame Mojang or you computer but not me if it doesn't work now)

Hey, I am making many maps, Including; The Maze Runner, Five Nights at Freddy's 2, Attack on Titan etc. Most of these maps are multiplayer and I am searching the internet and cannot find out how to automatically install a resource pack, if you could please tell me that would be SO helpful, Thanks!

Rename your resource pack as "resources.zip" and put it next to the level.dat file. Does not work in multiplayer.

First, the word at the sign can dissappear and appear making it looks like a computer, and you can select what you want to talk.

You sir, are amazing. For more reasons than just the absolutely flawless map creation. You also have a great personality and make amazing references. To be honest, you seem like the kind of person who would make an awesome friend. Then again, doesn't everyone wanna be friends with someone as awesome as you? Well, it's worth a shot. This, my friend, is the single best use of 1.8 that I have ever seen. Love the cutscenes, love the non-Euclidean geometry, love the constant Portal and Antichamber references, love the "trailer", and love "GERONIMOOOOO!"
Couple of things: 
Of course you know that signs can use JSON format - you've been translating them the whole way. But did you know this extends to commands? Why have a button and a sign when you can just have a sign!
Also, minor side note - you should be able to return to places you've already been at the end, so you can recollect the nether stars to unlock all the levels. 
Another side note, certain lighting issues as well as distances make teleporting obvious. I feel like I'm more in the game when I don't see a flash of white as I move from one room to the next, or a difference in shadows.
Final note - There are many blocks that give off full light. It's easy to retexture glowstone to invisible. But I discovered which ones you used the hard way when flying around the levels in creative mode to learn the secrets.

I know I can use commands on sign... but the map was nearly finished when the signs were adapted to use json (this map was build with the snapshots!). I'm using command-sign in Replica for example.
I tried to do my best for the lighting issues but the player isn't always looking in the same direction, it's really hard. The "solution" is to set the light at the maximum level everywhere... but I also like to have some dark places.
I don't need a block to edit the light in an area, there's MCEdit filters for that!
Oh, and don't look too much at the redstone: it's horrible.

If the question is "How" and not Who, you just need to put "translate" instead of "text" in every command using json (tellraw, title) then create a translation file with source_text=translated_text.
The translations files are included in the resource pack bundled with the map.

I'd like to apologize in advance for if anything I say here offends you, as that is not my intention in any way. I just want to help make this awesome map a little bit better. ^^

Anyway, I've noticed that the English in this map is... well, it's not horrible by any standards, but it could use a bit of work. Mainly there are just a few confusing lines that really need fixing, but a general sweep for minor grammatical issues could be beneficial as well.
What I'm basically saying is, I'd like to volunteer to translate this map.... from English to English, I guess?

Alright, I'm nearly done! There wasn't that much I needed to fix, your English is pretty good ;)
Anyway, I tried to change as little as possible and only rephrase things when absolutely necessary. There's one line that really confused me, though, and I was hoping you could explain it.
"When you have quantic things, try to not walk always forward."
I honestly have no clue what this means...

This was literally the BEST Map I've EVER played; and I played a LOT Adventure Maps...  Everything in this map works perfectly fine and the riddles / puzzles were not too easy or too hard. The only thing I have to mention was [SPOILER] when you came to the "simulated world" with the big lava pool, because I first tried 20 minutes to jump on the invisible blocks before I finished the other two puzzles. [/SPOILER]

But all in all a very nice and balanced Map :)  (Please add a bonus map or try to build a new map ^^)

I used a custom version of the CrushedPixel filter to create the trailer (see here) and for the 3D stuff, I use the new resource pack format to create custom models (read more about it)

Thank you for the translation. And, I think I have enough attention since my last map was played by many big youtubers (CaptainSparklez, SkyDoesMinecraft...).

This one is pretty new and not really finished (I didn't even post it on minecraftforum) and I have already more downloads than Replica at the same point. Let's wait a couple of month and see what happen.

Translations are also a really big thing once people realize the whole map is translated.

To translate the map, download the translator pack, complete the template.txt file then send it back (you can post it on pastebin if you don't want to send it by email).

To complete the file, just use this syntax:
english text=translated text


And congratulations. ;)

Apparently turning on cheats and trying to change your gamemode completely breaks the map by permanently locking you into spectator mode. Please fix this. Using these sort of measures to prevent people from cheating is only going to make people mad. I can't complete some of the parkour sections of this map becasue of lag, but I can't skip them either because of said issue.
Please have cheats enabled by default and don't disallow changing of gamemodes.
Or at the very least implement a system that allows people to skip parkour puzzles and/or skip to a certain chapter (in case they've downloaded a new version, etc)

The force-gamemode thing is already removed in the last version.
I don't want to have cheats enabled by default as you can easily break the map with a single bad command, but I'll keep your comment in mind.

To skip puzzle, I also want to add something, at least in puzzle which require jump-skills. It's planned.

For lag issues, I'm also improving the redstone. It's a lot better now (+10~20 fps for me now).

No problem!

I have taken a look at the latest version, it seems to be less laggy for me. The framerate's still not great, but that's largely because I'm on a laptop, so I can't really blame you for that.
It runs just fine on my Macbook Pro 2012

Okay, this is pure genius. I love the story, the decoration, the puzzles... and the references. ("Infinite improbability generator")

It's admittedly quite buggy, and very laggy on my computer, but that's largely the fault of the snapshots and my computer. Most likely the issues will get ironed out as the finished version of 1.8 is released.
