Welcome to my “parlevinker’s”* ship.
For some visual resemblance what a parlevinker’s* ship in real life could look like,
see the YouTube video below (AND TURN ON THE CC WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSLATION)
please note, that there is wide variety in these ships and this one is modeled after one I once saw in a museum throughout my travels through Northern Europe.
Or in other words.
A parlevinker* is a job that boils down to a merchant that sells it wares in a ship in the sea or rivers to passing by ships.
*I used the dutch name for it, considering it had the longest wikipedia page of it. There is no English page for it. Only, Dutch, German and Frisian.
Start of my poetic story about a parlevinker’s ship:
Parlevinker
A place, dull, half deserted, everybody know each other and lies on the water in the hinterland.
A place where gossip spreads faster than the internet connection can handle there.
The station, the place where normally crook posters hang, is filled with posters of missing geese.
The station, that changes in a few lines into an epicenter of journalists from the wider area.
The phone that changes the policeman face to the point of making a ghost jealous.
The phone that makes systems that haven't booted in decades, to start up again.
Interested? click this link for the rest of it.
Other info:
- In one of my travels throughout (northern)Europe I came across this kind of lost/forgotten job.
- Minecraft 1.16.3
- Renders made with: Chunky
- Gif & front Picture with: Gimp
- No redistribution WITH download link, link instead back to this page to download from.
Personally I appreciate more a thoughtful comment than a diamond.
So leave a comment if you like, having a question or not and say why :-)
