This project is a replica of the World Wonder of the Mongols from the game Age of Empires II: The Conquistadors by Microsoft in the team colour red. This is supposed to be the "Great Tent of Genghis Khan”. There is no remaining real life counterpart and there are just a few sketches left.
I am big fan of Age of Empires and always tried to build some of buildings in Minecraft but everything I have tried ago was not good enough to be shown. But by time by "Minecraft-Skills" have become better and so I finally tried to build some of the AoE II World Wonders.

Well it’s a tent and its round. Surely this was the hardest AoE II wonder so far and I am not a big fan of it because I needed to use wool blocks for that building and there is no beige wool block in Minecraft. I used paint to take care that the yellow and orange wool blocks are closest to the original colour and pre planned the building about four to five hours. However the wool block’s texture is not good either so it’ looking like that. Maybe I will also create another building based on that with (sand-) stones instead of the wool.

Dieses Projekt ist eine Nachbildung des Weltwunders der Mongolen aus dem Spiel Age of Empires II: Kingdoms von Microsoft in der Teamfarbe rot. Dies soll das "Große Zelt von Dschingis Khan" sein. Es gibt kein reales Gegenstück zu diesem Weltwunder und es gibt nur einige wenig erhaltene Skizzen aus dem Mittelalter diesbezüglich.

Ich bin ein großer Fan von Age of Empires und habe immer versucht, Gebäude in Minecraft zu bauen, aber alles, was ich zuvor versucht habe, war nicht gut genug, um gezeigt zu werden. Mit der Zeit sind die "Minecraft-Skills" jedoch besser geworden und so habe ich versucht, einige der AoE II World Wonders zu bauen.

Nun, es ist ein Zelt und es ist rund. Das war sicherlich das schwierigste AoE-II-Wunder, und ich bin kein großer Fan von dem Ergebnis, weil ich für dieses Gebäude Wollblöcke verwenden musste und da es keinen beigen Wollblock in Minecraft gibt, musste ich mich mit anderen harten Farben zufriedengeben. Ich habe mit Paint untersucht, dass die gelben und orangefarbenen Wollblöcke der ursprünglichen Farbe am nächsten kommen, und das Gebäude vier bis fünf Stunden im Vorfeld geplant. Die Textur des Wollblocks ist jedoch auch nicht schön und die Farben sind auch zu stark, sodass das Gebäude nun mal so aussieht, wie es aussieht. Vielleicht erstelle ich auch ein anderes Gebäude auf dieser Basis mit (Sand-) Steinen anstelle der Wolle.
