This is a project I've originally designed for myself during english lessons having too much time.
My inspiration was a fantasy doubleaxe, and this is really remarkable.

But it turned out really great so i'm uploading it here...

It's an complex estate of the size 289x384, including:

- unique terraformed landscape (53448 qm)
- custom bioms
- big pool
- custom made freeform hull
- a lot of space
- complete paths
- full interior
- Redstone engineered outdoor lighting
- tribals on top of the main structure
- cinema

Used:
- Minecraft
- Sketch Blocks for the primary design sketches
- GIMP for bringing the sketches in a usable format
- WorldPainter (for importing the designs from sketch)
- MCEdit
- BiomePainter
- Chunky

I've spent approximately 1.5 months planning.
Started building in June 2012, finished 7 months later...

This is really epic, although you are a lot better than me, I think that checkers look ugly to me, but it's just my opinion o_o

the only thing you'd need is a unique idea and lots of time for the realization :p
and I needed some patterns, and checkers (with variations) were a quite good (and simple) idea...
I might redo some parts one day, but not now

Looks pretty awesome! I just have one question: what's with the abundance of sponge?

the texturepack I used modifies the texture of the sponge to a carbon texture.
If you use a "normal" texturepack, it will look kinda weird, I might give out an alternative version soon...
Chose one of these texturepacks and it will look amazing :)

I believe a closer look at the description would've shown you that you should use a certain texturepack :)

It looks like you have stopped releasing builds to public.

I would really like to see more builds from you. This build really did inspire me when I first saw it a few months ago.

I'll post my house from the PMC Server in a few days, I only need the world seed from Paril and a few renders :p
then I'll have something to inspire you again (I developped more in the direction of fancy survival homes & bases)

And If I got time and will, I may finish one of the dozen's WIPs I have all around my SP minecraft.

well, I was bored during english lessons last year, and yes... I'm good at english, I had GCSE A-levels last week... preparation and all this stuff takes lots of time at the moment, less time to create & publish projects...
school's first for me at the moment...

Thanks :)
