[Fictional] The Vitosha-class of destroyer flotilia leaders were commissioned in 1919, despite limitations imposed by the Treaty of Neuilly-sur-Seine. They had, for the first time, a 20mm autocannon anti-aircraft defenses, 560mm torpedo launchers, and 128mm main battery caliber, which made the ships very viable. Coupled with their high top speed (almost 38 knots), this made them very hard to actually hit by most guns, which back then relied on heavy and not on fast shells. However, the ships were very expensive and only twelve were ever made, with some of them ending up in the coast guard after World War 2.

The ships were very interesting and innovative, because they introduced a new-type turboelectric powerplants with high pressure, which introduced speed, acceleration and general maneuvering capabilities on a whole new level. This, coupled with 20mm heavy autocannons made the ship extremely difficult to strafe.

Pros:

• Quick. Very quick. 37,7 knots in the water.
  
  
• Extremely powerful AA after upgrades in 1939, with 65 DPM total on autocannons and 100 DPM on its dual-purpose 128mm guns.
  
  
• Upgraded torpedoes are 56cm caliber, are the fastest torpedoes in the world (91 knots!), they also hit like a truck
  
  
• Fast main battery rate of fire at 15 RPM (4 seconds between shells)
  
  
• Turrets traverse quite quickly
  
  
• Overall a very good gunboat destoyer.
  
  
• The guns are dual-purpose and 4 out of 5 can rotate 360 degrees.
  
  

Cons:

• Contrary to the description, very vulnerable to strafing aircraft due to its piss-poor short-range AA DPM, however, the long-range aura won't let any plane get back to its flattop.
  
  
• Painfully slow torpedo reload and low range on the torpedoes themselves (8 kilometers), also 2x3 torpedo launchers make the guns its main armament.
  
  
• The middle ''tumor'' turret cannot rotate 360 degrees and its arc is pretty poor.
  
  
• The top configuration of the ship takes that turret away, but a torpedo launcher too.
