Castle Chrysalis

This was my Castle/Port headquarters for my city on the A'therys Ascended server. Since this server map has been retired I decided to post my build here. The Port itself is complete but the Palace and Inner Bailey are still under construction.

This build was built entirely by hand with mined materials and no flying abilities.

Fast becoming one of the bastion's of the Sea Kingdom, Chrysalis sits amid the island waterways of southeastern Ithero. Since it's humble beginnings as a fortified trading post and harbor, Chrysalis has offered a well defended rest stop for trade caravans and riverboats.

Chrysalis is organized strategically around the citadel at it's center and its large harbors on it's southern shores. The large central harbor is known as Port Chrysalis and boasts of many shops selling everything from bookcases to enchanted weaponry.

It's towering fortifications and protective outer walls are visible for leagues in every direction and serve as a stark reminder to all would-be invaders that Ithero's southern approach is well guarded.

Historically, it is the Lord Admiral who claims sovereignty over Chrysalis but governance is left to the High Regent and the various members of the Dawn Council. Veser, Naios and (unsurprisingly) Vrovona are the patron deities of the city, and a great hall devoted to their aspects can be found in the eastern section of the citadel.

Due to the current construction and expansion efforts of the Dawn Council, the city is only selectively accepting new residents.
