Simplicity is a reboot of an earlier project I started called Solaris which unfortunately has been rendered hard to acquire since I transitioned to a new computer. The first goal of this project is to create a city showcasing buildings that follow my maddening methods of design and building which is mostly pattern work, because out of repetitive simple patterns matched over and over I create the complex structures that I feel are unique to my style. The second goal is to create a menagerie of structures and designs that anyone can examine, replicate, and improve upon with their building style to create something more beautiful and artistic than I could create out of them on my own.
The screenshots attached to this project page are for the first building that will be a fortified wall with a structure within it, it will serve the purpose of accommodation in self contained apartments, holding one or more automatic farm connected to 1,000,000+ storage system, and a protective structure from explosive assaults. What is shown here is one of four corner structures connected to a twin wall system that has walkways facing inwards towards a garden that will span between corner posts, and although not built yet it will have a rail network linking the entire wall for easy transportation. the exterior and interior are fully capable of being customised for each individuals tastes. The planned storage system is based off a design by Dataless822 from his let's play series and will exceed his design's capacity immensely. It must be stressed that the corner wall is at best 18% completed, yet adequate for displaying my pattern work at its current stage of construction.
The rest of the city will be built with the roads and railways all underground and the surface will have foot roads instead, having said that I must make it clear that this a homage to the Third Reich's Germania pipe dream which is the source material for that feature of my city. Beyond the roadways, footroads, and railways there is little planned as the current structure is the focus of attention at this stage.
