[ANNOUNCEMENT] Yep, another update, number 5! I know it's early, and I was going to wait to release it, but I've had a brainwave so after this, I won't be releasing another update until Minecraft is updated to 1.3. :)

[ANNOUNCEMENT] Good news people, you can now ignore the below announcement, because I have managed, after much tweeking and messing around with the Terminal, to get Minecraft working on Linux Ubuntu, which means this project is once again ready to roll. I'm already working on the next update for the map, and I will release it when I feel it's significant enough.

[ANNOUNCEMENT] Unfortunately, this project is temporarily discontinued. My copy of Windows
XP recently crashed, and it took me the best part of a day to recover what I could from it. I'm running
stuff on Ubuntu for the time being, until I can get my user/Internet to work back on XP. Unless anyone
can be awesome and tell me how to get Java/Minecraft working on Linux Ubuntu, I'm stuck for now,
which means no Minecraft for me. :( I might start a texture pack or just make more skins seeing as I'll
have a lot more time to spare. So yeah, this project is temporarily out of action, I apologize, but I promise
I will try my best to fix the problems as soon as I can. Of course, you can still download the map as it is now, it
just means It won't be updated for a while. Thanks dudes and dudines, Seska out.

The silence of another peaceful night on the planet Destagra is violently shattered by the whine
of engines in the distance. Cold moonlight reflecting of it's hard steel surface, a small
ship darts across the night's sky, almost scraping the tops of trees as it descends. A trail
of billowing black smoke follows the flames being spurted from the ion engines, as
the pilot inside yanks on the control column, desperately trying to slow the ship for landing.
The shuttle comes down with the scream of metal and a huge crash as it smashes into the dirt,
sending debris flying and scorching the grass behind.
Hours pass, the debris settles, and, in the barely illuminated confines of the wounded shuttle, you
wake up. A splitting pain in your head reminds you that you're alive, and you struggle to haul your
battered body to it's feet. Under the light of redstone, you look around, trying to get your bearings.
Shakily, you limp over to the storage chest, lifting the lid and taking out a copy of the mission brief.
It should help you remember how you got here.
'Crew of Shuttle 25-9 Beta, you are to proceed to the Scientific Research Compound on the planet Destagra.
Once there, you will rendezvous with Professor McLewyn, and you will escort him aboard your shuttle
and return him to the Outpost on Telon V. This mission is of utmost importance, Professor McLewyn is
invaluable, and the Scientific Research Compound on Destagra is his last known confirmed location. You must proceed with caution though. As you know, the atmosphere on Destagra is extremely toxic to humans, and the wildlife on the planet has had years of evolution to protect against this. You have not, that is why you must NOT forget to wear Vacuum Suits at ALL TIMES when outside of air-tight areas. Not doing so will result in death. Also,
a new virus attacked the planet several months ago, which is the reason, we suspect, why the research and recovery teams sent before you haven't returned. A ship, the S.S. K'tash was dispatched three months ago, and it has not returned. We received a partial transmission from them before we lost contact, claiming that they are doing vital maintenance work on the vessel. It should have been done by now. Find the professor, find the ship, and get out of there. This is a peaceful mission, although if the need for aggressive action is necessary, there is an Armory at the Compound, along with supplies and rations. You have four weeks to complete the mission including flight time, good luck crew.

'Oh brilliant...' You exclaim, tossing the book back into the chest turning to the cockpit.
Hold on. Where are the others? You think to yourself, suddenly alert. You move to the cockpit, painfully aware of how exposed you are if anyone were to attack you now when you're in this injured state. You peer through the viewing hatch in the cockpit door, and step back, jaw slack in shock. Slumped over the controls, sits the pilot, a smear of what could only be blood runs down his crooked back.
Looks like you're on your own.
Under the cover of night, a figure walks out of the shuttle and into the dark, a sword clutched tightly in one hand, moonlight reflecting off their determined eyes.

Yes, Ladies and Gentleman, this is an adventure map, wooo. :D The main idea of the map is explained above in the short intro above. My apologies for the less-than-brilliant intro, it was late at night when I wrote it, and I just needed a quick back story. There are a couple of Easter Eggs in the map in case you feel like a bit o' egg huntin' too.
This is 100% normal Minecraft, no mods at all needed or anything like that. Although, to those who are interested,
the texture pack used in the pictures above is 'Uniblue Media's default realism texture pack, 'R3D.CRAFT', available in a whole bunch of resolutions, I recommend you check it out. :D http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/125-r3dcraft-default-realism-128x128/
There are a couple of Easter Eggs in the map in case you feel like a bit o' egg huntin' too.
LE RULES:
- NO taking or placing blocks. The only blocks that you are allowed to
take or break are buttons, pressure plates or levers that you have taken from a CHEST. Taking buttons, levers or pressure plates that were not in chests is forbidden.
- Keep the difficulty on HARD. This map needs mobs. Pouncing around in peaceful mode is no fun. Killjoy.
- No using inventory hacks or mods, including ones like 'Too Many Items' or 'Single Player Commands'. If you do have the mods then just please don't use them.
- Not sure if I made another rule. Meh, I make it up as I go along. :L
- Other than that, have fun. :)
Also, A Diamond, Favourite or Subscription would be awesome if you like the map. :3

Additional Notes
TL;DR - Basically, shuttle on rescue mission to find missing scientist. Shuttle crash. Crew dead, except you. You need to get to a Scientific compound thingy to solve mystery/save the day, etc. :L - [No longer temporarily discontinued, next update coming up soon]No breaking blocks.

Review:
The map is well done. he didn't really feel the need to terraform anything, yet the theme cant still be implemented if you have imagination. the story line is great. At first, getting to the secondary facility proved a bit more of an annoyance , yet it was my fault for not following instructions. As a "tester" I had to pretty much take a look at everything, and I DID GO TO THE COCKPIT ( I know) and blew myself up. pretty epic.
Gameplay:
Very nice and interesting the texture pack used also made it more nice and mysterious, fitting a part of the main theme of the adventure. there are some secrets. I can only tell you that the most unexpected stuff can save your life if you decide exploring. very nice overall.
I DID NOT FINISH THE MAP, YET MY DEATHS DID NOT IMPEDE ME. I SHOULD FINISH THE MAP AND PROVIDE A FORMAL REVIEW ON THIS GREAT MAP. KEEP IT UP.
