Hello Everybody
this is a small side project.
I was curious how the world looked like before the end of the last Ice Age.

- Ocean Level are about 125 m below todays Water Level.

- To see the difference from then to now all landmass submerged today is marked with Sandstone in the second picture.
- Basicly all what is yellow in the map is today 0 - 125m below the sea level
- Submerged landmaß is 38480431 Blocks which is a loss of 16,4% of previous landmass or 24,46 Mio. squarekilometer in the
Real World.

- Of today's population about 50% living in Coastal Areas, the sea level rise with melting of last Ice Age with of course fewer
population was proably very devasting.

- The map itself is 21600x10800 Blocks about 1:1600 and 1:1850 Scale of Earth or 1m equals 1,6 km for x and 1,85 km for y.

For those who like to play around with this earth map just use the link below to download the worldpainter file (its so much more smaller then minecraft map exported and give you more choices for editing.)

Some Elevation :
Mt. Brocken, Germany 1142m = 15 blocks
Mt. Ras Dashen, Ethiopia 4550m = 70 Blocks (z=180)
Mt. Baker, USA 3286m = 46 Blocks

Earth didn't look like that in 11000 BC, Continental Drift has made it look basically like 2016 Earth. Perhaps you meant something like 1 Million BC?

Its version 0.006 so its not done yet.
Every ice age it looked "close" to that. explains also pretty good how archaic man, homo erectus and homo sapien move so easy out of africa , into austrialia, oceania and america.

Some of the south islands will sink as I did not matched it yet with the different tilt of planets axis.

I don't think the land bridges were that drastic, though. For instance, the Bering Strait wasn't very wide, just wide enough to traverse over time.

For me its not about what I think. There are real experts working years on various topics (desertivcation, beach building, ocena sedements, glaciers, earth rotation, s.o.). All the little effects which change on a day to day basis our planets. I talked personal to many of them, asked them about long term projection of their research field and try. As well read many studies, not just the summary or an articles from these people.
Any like already said :
This current version is just the base (mercator earth 2015 with lowered sea lvl by 125 m every where)
I do not claim for ,myself it looked like that.
Even version 1.000 if I ever arrive there wound be anything close to 100% accuracy, but I am sure the effort and process I put myself through will lead to more realistic result then my pure imagination would. If like more imagine the how the world look like at the end of the last ice age then you could check out my 11500 BC project. It has much fever variables in consideration than this project.

13.000 Years ago , puh besides maybe göbli teke in Turkey their is no official record of cities. If people build cities the should be under water today. So in the area marked with Sandstone.

For modern Cities google maps together with this map or one of the pictures in the downloadfolder might be your friends. I am not sure which city location you like to find. Like Theran or Osaka?!
