Fantasy Newfoundland

They used to say that the seas off the coast of Newfoundland were so bountiful, you could catch fish just by dipping a basket in the water. But it's not like that anymore. I blame the big, commercial fishing companies.
But what if it had happened another way? What if white people had chosen to cooperate with their natural surroundings, instead of robbing them blind for short-term financial gain? Newfoundland, not to mention a lot of other places, might have turned out very different.
