Whenever you update to 1.9 with the elytra update, you can change the vents a little bit to make a small vent, which is a good size for a real vent.
I made a video showing you how to make it.

How to use: Equip elytra, walk towards vent. jump and jump again (activating the elytra) and keep going forward. If it doesn't work at first keep trying

It's by the extra party room and Prize Corner. I believe it's on the left of Prize Corner hall.
