Welcome to Fjellvangr!
Fjellvangr is my current custom terrain project that I've been working on in October of 2021. This build stems from a WorldMachine workflow and was imported into WorldPainter where I customized the terrain inputs with different layers that I've been developing for Conquest Reforged. As I continue to work on this project, and if there is interest, I may upload my custom .terrain and .layer files in addition to posting a download for this world.
This world includes mountains that go to the (current) Minecraft height limit, grasslands, tundra, gravel shores, lakes, and some small rivers (which are still WIP as I get better at painting streams).
My hope is that you will see what I've done and take inspiration to create your own custom workflows and terrain! As I come to finishing this landscape, I plan to use it for a personal Conquest Reforged project incorporating my other builds and schematics that I'm in the process of updating from 1.12.2 to 1.15.2.
If you have any questions as to how to develop landscapes like this from WorldMachine or WorldPainter, don't hesitate to reach out!
(unfortunately the .tmd file corrupted and is no longer accessible, but the basic workflow is a combination of perlin noise generators that are fed through different erosion mods to create different biomes like mountains, transition zones, tundra, fields, and shores. Those are fed into a max height combiner and lead to a heightmap output.)
