The history on L'Hermione, if anyone is interested:

She was a French frigate, first laid down in 1778, she would go on to serve in the Anglo-French War of 1778 and the American Revolutionary War (april 19, 1775 - september 3rd, 1783) - otherwise known as the American War of Independence. She was one of the first french ships to be equipped with copper sheathing - a British invention that entailed the hull, below the waterline, being covered in copper; this stopped barnacles and other debris from growing and slowing the ship down - the lack of crustaceans also reduces maintenance, as they no longer have to be removed in order for the ship to stay fast and agile.

Her first voyage was quite remarkable, as she was tasked with ferrying around the now legendary General La fayette (who served in both the French Revolutionary War and the American War of Independence; winning victories (most notably the Battle of Yorktown) that have led to him being known as a national hero in both countries. Lastly, she served in the War of the First Coalition (1792 to 1797)

She met her fate on 20 September 1793, off Le Croisic in France, when she ran aground. Unfortunately she disintegrated in the water.

Fortunately, a perfect replica of her was constructed in 1997, and travels the world today.
