Hello again, everyone!
Sorry for the long wait this time; life has been busy getting in the way again. But I'm back now with another build to share with you - my penultimate Swedish destroyer build, the Halland-class! This was one of the builds I was most looking forward to in the whole line. I love its aesthetic, the blocky, bulky superstructure, and its immensely powerful armament.
I used the Småland model from WoWs, as that one is the correct version. The Halland in WoWs has an ahistorical torpedo armament and doesn't feature the modernisations to the masts and radar fit that I wanted to include.
The dimensions and armament details are as follows:
Length - 121 Blocks (not including extremities)
Beam - 13 Blocks (ditto)
Draught - 4 Blocks
Primary Armament: 4 x 120mm/50 Bofors Model 1950 DP Guns [2 x 2] (these were the improved model capable of up to 42 RPM!!)
Anti-Aircraft Armament: Ditto + 2 x 57mm/60 Bofors SAK Model 1950 Guns [1 x 2], 6 x 40mm/70 Bofors SAK-40/L70-350 Guns [6 x 1]
Torpedo Armament: 8 x 533mm Torpedoes [1 x 5, 1 x 3]
ASW Armament: 8 x 375mm Bofors ASW Rocket Launchers [2 x 4]
Missile Armament: 2 x Saab Rb 08 ASM Missiles
There you go! I hope you like this one, it's one of my favourites, and I put a lot of work into it. There's just one Swedish destroyer build left before I can show you what else I've been working on, which is based on the Ragnar from World of Warships—but corrected for historical accuracy.
