Project
I am building Heathrow Airport, London, beginning with terminal 2. This airport will be very large, built in a 2:1 scale.
Update #4
Finished Business Lounge (Lufthansa) and nearly First Class one (Singapore Airlines). Done nearly half of upstairs shops. Finished check-in and security.
Also, going to utilse new banners, doors and fences released in 1.8.

Background Info
The new Heathrow Terminal 2 is expected to open in June 2014. It was designed by the architect firm Luis Vidal + Architects. T2A will have over 210,000 square metres of floor space. The old Terminal 2, called The Europa Building, was opened in 1955 and was demolished in 2009. The new terminal is dedicated to members of the Star Alliance. There is also terminal T2B, which is a satellite terminal parallel to T2A.
I've always wanted to build an airport in Minecraft, because I'm interested in planes. I have noticed that a few builders have also decided to build airports recently. I am not copying them, but a few of them have inspired me to do this.
Many airports in Minecraft lack features that make them realistic; some are too small, don't have proper airport facilities or do not resemble a real-life airport at all. My airport is going to be one of the most realistic Minecraft airports made. It will feature many features of a real-life terminal that aren't in many projects, including airport lounges for premium passengers, premium check-in, a transit hotel in the terminal, transfer facilities, as well as retail, food and duty free outlets. There will also be a multi-storey carpark.
Planes
My airport will feature many planes, of which some of them I will make, and some have been generously given to me by Homingdbs
My T2 will be dedicated to Star Alliance just like in reality. Singapore Airlines will be the main airline, meaning there will be many facilities for SQ, although most will be shared with all of the Star Alliance airlines.
I am open to suggestions for aircrafts, so please either message me or post a comment about an aircraft you want.

I don't expect terminal 2A (the main building) or the runways and taxiways to be completed for at least 6 months. Other satellite terminals, cargo facility etc. aren't expected to be finished for at least 9 months.
