Today I present you the Ark Royal.



The Ark Royal was a unique aircraft Carrier build by the Royal Navy in World War 2. Her design was unique compared to the other British Aircraft Carriers, because her Hangar and Flight deck were a part of her hull instead of being added on. Thanks to her 2 Hangar decks she could carry a Large Number of Planes.



The Ark Royal took part in many operations, and she started the war by assisting the sinking of the First Submarine in the 2^nd World War. Her planes which where Swordfish bombers attacked the German Battleship Bismarck, and where able to hit the Rudder of the German Battleship and jamming it. The Ark Royal got hit by the German Submarine U81 in November 1941 and sunk.
Her Wreck got discovered in 2002 south of Gibraltar.
