The Hurionese coast has long since been known as a hub of naval traffic. It was only natural that once Avalon had acquired the island, they would establish a military presence in the region. It was as such that the Hurion Naval Base was founded. Initially a quaint wooden dock, the necessity to protect shipping in the region led to a rapid expansion of the facilities on the island. By the time modern steam ships had come around, the naval base had gained the facilities necessary to construct ships of their own. Namely large dry-docks that could accommodate even the largest of ships. Currently being the primary base for the Avalonian eastern fleet, the port can house vessels of every type and size, with plans to construct a new section for ultra wide and ultra long combat vessels.
